NS&I surprisingly terrible reviews

Hi all. I was looking at saving my 250k inheritance money with NS&I including premium bonds and isas thinking it would be the safest and most convenient place to put the money for a couple of years before using it to pay off my 2yr fixed rate mortgage and hopefully purchasing a bigger house. I hadn't bothered to look at the reviews before, thinking they would be very professional and simple to deal, being backed by the government but I'm amazed to find such awful reviews. Now I dont know what to do so any of your own personal experiences or advice for other options would be much appreciated. Thanks

What do the terrible reviews say? I have never had a problem with NS&I.1

I just googled 'NS&I reviews' and there are some worrying comments on uktrustpilot. I know people only tend to post reviews when they have bad experiences but there do seem to be an awful lot them.0

NS&I were fine when we used them. It may be they have a worse review profile as unlike their commercial competitors they don't actively ask customers to leave positive reviews. Don't put any weight on review sites some well known financial scams that we were warning about on this forum had great reviews until they went bust.3

I have used NS&I for many years and also have a large amount with them in various products and accounts.
Never had any problem at all.
I do remember once needing to ask or clarify something or other. I did it through Twitter, where the response was fast, accurate and useful.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.1 -
Sometimes you have to take reviews with a pinch of salt or read them and judge whether the person is unreasonable.2
