Small monthly CC purchases are fine if an annual DD is acceptable. Careful if you need monthly payments though because some credit cards only collect the monthly payment if the amount payable is >£5.st999 said:Couple of credit cards? I buy 4 pints of milk twice a month with 2 different credit cards.
Aren't self service checkouts and contactless payment wonderful.0 -
I can't remember which card it was, I am just going by what people have reported when they didn't get their monthly rewards when one of their DDs didn't get executed. Perhaps one of them will come along and provide the name(s) of the providers.st999 said:I've never heard of any credit card that does that.
Could you provide the name of one?

I've never known a credit card fail to take the DD for small amounts, but I have had credit cards with payment dates that hover around the month end, so can sometimes slip into the following month by a day or two, thus potentially failing to meet the "monthly" requirement on some accounts.

RBSG and Tesco write small (sub £1) balances off I believe.Fingerbobs said:I've never known a credit card fail to take the DD for small amounts...1 -
Presumably only in certain circumstances. I can't imagine them allowing the customer to spend 99p and write it off every month.YorkshireBoy said:

In theory they would. I've not played myself but others on here have deliberately paid off all but 99p of statemented balance and then seen that 99p written off next month.Fingerbobs said:
