That's good. Seriously, that can be one of the most effective methods of putting private parking firms out of business.fezi said:Update - Thank you so much to all you amazing people on here!! I got a letter today from UKPC apologising for causing me any inconvenience, and informing that my parking charge has been cancelled.
I will definitely be more careful when parking in future.
Have a good weekend and stay safe everyonePlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

On what grounds is the OP going to make a claim against UKPC?D_P_Dance said:Have you considered your revenge?
https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/letter/letter-before-small-claims-court-claimThose of us who have taken on the parking companies with actions of our own do so because we believe a catalogue of events in one single parking matter demonstrates illegality. In the case of the OP UKPC can quite easily argue they had valid grounds to get his registered keeper details but later chose not to pursue the matter.Let's please offer good advice here and not simply tell people to issue a letter before claim when in reality such a claim has little chance of succeeding.

That surely is a matter for OP to decide. Perhaps you should ask him/her.

I am not telling anyone to do anything. Merely saying that, for the price of a stamp. one can cause the PPC a considerable amount of hassle and, perhaps expence. Are you implying that that is not good advice?
FWIIW, when I sent an LBC to APCOA I received a two page reply, (not a template), from their legal advisor.
