Hi All, yesterday marked 7 weeks since our application went in! We have had numerous requests for extra info which we have sent over. We have also had hard credit checks completed on our files.Part of today’s requests was “client to confirm they accept and are happy for completion to be delayed to 28/08/2022 or near after” my broker has no clue why they have said this….can anyone else shed any light please? The date isnt a problem just seems odd that the lender is deciding dates?0

I am guessing that the reason for the date is because something does not currently fit criteria, but will do on or after that date - probably some of the adverse. But it could possibly be time in job or time in the country etc. Bluestone are pretty good in that they allow you to apply a couple of months before you fit criteria but will not allow you to complete until you do.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. What happens if Bluestone come back and say they want £4k in fees, 15% interest and 1 of your kidneys?
I have no first hand experience of CLS (for obvious reasons) but I have heard of them and I think they have a decent reputation and experience with Bluestone, I find it odd that you have no idea what your mortgage will look like.
Bluestone are taking about 3 working days to assess documents at the minute so you should definitely have heard by now.
Sorry that this is no help, but I think you need to press CLS for an illustration. On the upside, I think Bluestone reduced some of their rates today so it might actually be for the best that it has taken a while.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I’m so excited but nervous - valuation booked for this week 😊😊😊😊😊😊2

I am so pleased to say that we received our offer last week! We couldn’t believe it. Our mortgage broker really is a miracle worker! We waited nearly two months from when we submitted our application! To those who are still waiting please trust the process and keep holding on! The wait will be worth it.
Hopefully we will exchange in the next couple of weeks. Then onto completion in September🤞🏻Those who have completed recently. What happened? Did bluestone check anything?2 -
We had our valuation a few weeks back and the report came back with repair work needed on the chimney in the loft.
We've had the repair work done and Bluestone have asked us to pay £96 for a reinspection which we paid yesterday.
Has anyone else had to have a reinspection?
We just wondered how it worked. Do they do the full valuation again or just they just come and check the repair?0 -
@Paul181982 it will just be to check the 'problem areas' have been fixed, not a full survey again.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
