Hi, also joining the thread! I'm in Scotland and we got a DIP from Bluestone on 13th Feb, full application went in on 26th Feb, still waiting and as of last week it was still at underwriting with them saying they had a backlog. We have a deadline with our new house for 3 weeks (the sellers are buying a new build and deadline was fri but got it extended) what are the chances of us getting the mortgage by then? This is week 5 now. So frustrating.
  • Im sorry but Bluestone dont rush things and i dont think that 3 weeks is achievable, speak to your broker asap.

I'm in Scotland, but things may have changed a bit since I concluded missives about 6 weeks after lockdown originally started.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

How did you find the whole process?

Today we’ve heard from our MA that Bluestone have asked to clarify the solicitors details. We’re at “formal underwrite” (we pushed our valuation before underwrite so I’m not sure whether we just have one underwrite). They haven’t asked for anything else after 11 working days. I’m praying this doesn’t put us back in another 11 working day queue!!
  • Hi can any tell me how long after bluestone dose valuation we got the offer please?

Yeh I dont see it happening in 3 weeks either, that will be 8 weeks since we put application in, how long is their average time scales about?
I'm hoping the builders at the other end extend as the surely can't expect everything to be done in that time!

@Fesully84 Everyone seems to be experiencing different time scale. Some people have had it done and offer in 4 weeks some people have been waiting since Oct last year.

That’s it. I don’t think we can base timescales on each other’s experiences but what we can help each other with is checking all forms have been complete or suggest things that might help move things along
