I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with.
I had a powertech battery installed in May 2019 when I had the panels installed and the installer put the Lux app on my Samsung phone for me. He used the wrong email.
I have now changed phones and I use an Apple 6 so I am unable to access the site to change my password.
I have the information saved on my Samsung tablet but it auto signs me in and I cannot find the stored passwords.
The installer put the wrong email address in the app so I can't access it.
I don't know what password he set but I think he said he put the same for all his customers - something like 'mysolarenergy'
I have recently installed another 3 Pylontech batteries and would like to be able to use the app to monitor and control them with my iphone as well as my Samsung tablet.
I would like to reset my password and my email address so that I can use the app on my iphone as well as my tablet.
Can you help to sort this mess out please?I went onto the Lux website and tried to send an email to get this mess sorted out but it came up with error 500I'm running on win7.Any suggestions welcome please. I'm 76 years old so please keep it as simple as possible :-)
Regards,
George

Hi GeorgeI would try emailing Luxpower in China to get your login details changed. The email I use is canhao.chen@luxpowertek.com
In the meantime, there is another way to use the app without logging in which has some benefits over the usual way.
Go to your wifi settings on your phone where you view the list of wifi networks available. Something like this .....
Your Lux has a wifi dongle attached which has it's own wifi network, the name usually starts with BA followed by 8 numbers.
Look for this in your list of networks and connect to it.
Next, open the Lux app and click on 'Local connect' in the bottom right.
You should now have access to the Lux locally.
There's actually more settings available this way and the data updates every 10 seconds instead of every 2 minutes.Scott in Fife, 2.9kwp pv SSW facing, 2.7kw Fronius inverter installed Jan 2012 - 14.3kwh Seplos Mason battery storage with Lux ac controller - Renault Zoe 40kwh, Corsa-e 50kwh, Zappi EV charger and Octopus Go3 -
Thank you for the replies.I tried your idea EV&PV and connected to the BA number but when I went to the Lux app it kept asking for the password etc and I could see the 'local connect' but it wouldn't allow me to click on it. Whem I hit 'cancel' the keyboard came up and covered the 'local connect'.0

When you log in automatically go to the top corner and log out.5KW solar, Lux 3.8KW inverter, Uhome 2400 LPF x 6, SOLIC 200 immerser diverter, Leaf 62Kwh, MG ZSev, Ohme home charger, Zappi v2.1, Import: Octopus intelligent ; Export: Octopus Energy Export, 15KW biomass pellet boiler - Windhager., Home Assistant (newbie)0

I've emailed the canhao address you gave so will see what he comes up with.I can monitor etc using my tablet but I'd rather be able to do it on my iphone6.I like the idea of 10 second refreshes.Thank you for the info about it taking time to self-level the batteries. I thought I'd have to 'balance' them if they were no in sync as I didn' t realise that they could do this themselves. It's a steep learning curve for an old geezer - but I usually get there (eventually).3

Questions questions questions...I've installed three more Pylontechs to add to the one that was in there but the original battery was not Earthed to anything. There is an Earth wire hanging out of the inverter just above the batteries. Should the batteries be earthed? The company that installed the system in Mat 2019 have gone into liquidation and a new Company has take n over their assets but not their liabilities. They retained some of the original employees including the installer. I contacted him and he says that he would never leave a wire dangling like that (I sent photos). The only other person who has been in that area is the person who came and fitted a Smart Meter on the instructions of Octopus Energy. Would he have needed to access the Inverter? When the original was installed it was put in a metal case in the airing cupboard and I questioned if it was a good idea to position it just below the CH boiler and was told that the box was waterproof so it was OK.When I installed the new batteries I saw that there are air vents and cable entry slots in the top of the box as well as vents in the sides so if my CH pipes had leaked there could have been serious problems.I am going to fit a canopy over the stack of four batteries to make sure that they are safe.My original deal with the Company was for a 4.8kWh Pylontech battery and I assumed that the one on the case was a 4.8. When I decided to add to the storage I looked for another 4.8 and was asked for a photo of my existing battery. I sent this and that's when I learned that I'd been conned.I'm currently in the process of making a claim through the Liquidators for the cost of a battery and the consequential loss incurred from not having thjis additional storage.Life's a !!!!!! at times. I'm 76 and disabled so I could do without all this.0

*That should be "installed the system in May 2019."
