I've never seen mine hit 100% and they charge from 11% to full in an hour and a half on AC, with the last few minutes being the slower speed taper, so I don't think I've ever managed to put more than 5.5kWh in - factor in the 25% round trip losses and it's fair to say the claimed 6.6kWh usable is "elusive"!

Hence why I'm hoping upgraded firmware will help on the discharge side of things.

New app update (well it might be months old tbh, I dont auto update) and now import is red instead of black

Edit, it also gives battery voltage as well as percentage,  which is nice

Seems to be hot off the press. Not sure changing the graph colours so we now have an orangey red and a reddish orange on the same graphs is necessarily great 🙂

Also I still have my doubts about the accuracy of some of the calculated stats for some reason...

    I emailed Lux about that.
Apparently it applies to hybrid inverters only.

That is correct, my son who has a hybrid inverter displays sensible data

  • I've just taken delivery of three Pylon US2000s.
    They were m/f 2021-08-02.
    I ordered 3 X US2000b+ as my other battery is a US2000+.
Is there a difference or have they simply dropped the + sign on the battery?

I was going to instal them today but if they are not what I ordered I'll see what the company I bought them from says before I do.

I was quoted £1400 per battery by the people who installed my panels. When I decided not to bother they dropped it to £1200.
I looked online and got three for £2400 delivered.
  • Just got this reply:-

    Hello,

For some reason, Pylontech uses the same packaging of US2000 and even the product itself would be marked as US2000, even if the hardware itself is US2000B Plus or US2000B Plus v.2. I am not sure why the Chinese do this.

I can assure you that what you have is the US2000B Plus and to prove it, you can send the serial number of the batteries to Pylontech and they will be able to confirm to you that this particular product is the US2000B+.

Pylontech can be reached here at this email address: gavin.liu@pylontech.com.cn.

You should be fine with those new Pylons, they seem to chop and change the name all the time but they're all basically US2000.
I started with 2 Pylons that are 2019 and added another later that is 2017 and they work fine together.
One thing you might find is the new ones might take a while to fall in sync with the other one even if they start off roughly the same state of charge.
Mine took about a week of cycling to sort themselves out but have been fine since.

£1400 for one is ripping the pish by the way.
