Lux ac battery controller

Hi martynv, martynv said:Yes, but why is it turning off and on constantly to give me the spikes of 4k and the lower square sawtooth of 1k. Since the batteries were installed the batteries they have gone down to 10% and hardly charged since. I know the sun hasn't been shining much. What should be done to solve this problem as it seems to be happening day and night?
For info I have 14 panels and 2 batteries.
I think healthier to leave your batteries sitting at around 50% SOC (not 10%), ie set On-grid Discharge Cut-off SOC to 50%, if you are just charging from solar at this time of year (ie aren't on a time of use tariff and thus charging from AC overnight). As we get sunnier days and the batteries start to fill from solar you can let them drop to lower SOC each night (eg 20%) as they will only sit at the low SOC until sun rises the next day. Note you might need to do a one off AC charge to get them up to 50%.
However it will take some seriously sunny days to fill your batteries, as you look to have that 1kw base load that is nearly always on (plus the 3kw spikes on top), which is using all of your PV output, so I would address that first, as suggested above.
Does your import meter agree with what Lux app is reporting, ie 20-24kw per day? If yes then need to work out what is using the kW.
If you have an electric immersion then that is likely source of the 3kw spike - if there is no other option to heat water I'd suggest scheduling that on a timer (for when you need hot water), rather than keeping it hot all day.
For the 1kw baseload that looks to be on most of the time, do you have power hungry devices such as hot tub, tropical aquarium, ASHP?

Good option for those that are unable to use octolux. I still definitely prefer octolux for how many more options it has.EVandPV said:Agile settings on the Lux portal. Not sure if this is now available on all Lux units ??

Looks like it's only available on their premium priced units which seem to be called "squirrel pods" this week as opposed to power pods. 🙄
Can't see them selling with the current Agile prices as high as they are.

Hi Chamelion, just a quick question as I notice that you have a very similar setup to my solar array with regard to power output and I have a Lux 3.6 inverter, what is your solar production like on a good day ? eg is it maxing out ? I have panels that are 455w and attached to enphase micro inverters IQ7+ but my production appears to max out at 3.5mhw per quarter hour on the enphase and I wondered if his was right (I have a total array capacity of 5460khw so confused as to why I would get less. I know there is a limit to what I can export so its capped at 3.6 to the grid but is there an way I can get more from the solar production so it has more capacity to charge batteries and house ? all advise is welcomechamelion said:

No..... my son is having a play...
I've noticed one of my stacks is consistently giving half a kwh less than the other for full charge and discharge, need to find out which battery is bringing it downWest central Scotland
