Lux ac battery controller

Config question,

Hi Folks, I have a question about the config of my dual Lux inverters/9.6KW battery combo and the 'System Information' page in the web application.

Where the app shows the amount of KWh going into the battery it has 2 information bannesr - 'BMS Limit Charge' and 'BMS Limit Discharge'.  What do these mean and can they be adjusted if necessary?

They are the current limits the battery management system applies when the batteries get close to fully charged (BMS Limit Charge), with the batteries at fully charged you should see a 0 limit. Likewise at the other end of the charge scale, when the batteries are not far off empty (BMS Limit Discharge) you'll see the limit reduce from its normal value, eventually down to 0 when the batteries are fully discharged. Mine changes from the normal 120A (4x2.4kw uhomes), to around 45A either charge/discharge when they are getting to the limits then down to 0A. I am unaware of being able to configure them. You can set the charge and discharge rates from the batteries via the inverter from the config page, the charge rate is the "system charge power rate", its probably set to 100%. Likewise under the Discharge Setting the "system discharge power rate" controls the max discharge rate, again set at 100%.

anyone know what this model number might mean for this lux ac3600,   its not discharging the pylontec batteries,  its setup for li-ion and pylons and can see the batteries but wont discharge even after a reset.

Have a look at Page 13 on this thread, its only info I can find. I have the AC coupled inverter and my firmware is BAAB-0706 & model 73382, I dont know what the different firmware versions mean.

the firmware looks relativly new, might try flashing it see if that kicks it into discharging,   dont really wanna deal with infinity solutions if i can help it

An email to the team at luxpowertek in china will be a quick way of getting the issue hopefully resolved. If you havent gone down this road before, use info@luxpowertek.com, ive previously had help from Shahin, his email is shahin@luxpowertek.com, suggest use both emails as a starter for ten. They upgraded my firmware remotely to solve an issue I had a year or so ago.

yes luxpower in china have always been good for me in the past,

ive recently used the android version of the app to upgrade somones firmware to the latest,  it was quite painless so they have sorted that side of the app out now, so i plan on trying that method first.

Question about LUX Power tek AC3600 settings

Such a useful / helpful / informative forum,thanks!

I have 6 PV panels on roof (1.4kW) and LUX AC 3600 controller with 2 Greenlinx batteries (6.4kWh).  All good.

So far I've been on Economy 7 and stayed with the same Charge times/ settings for months (apart from an adjustment when the clocks moved forward for BST)

Soon I will be on Octopus Agile and for a while want to explore setting the charge times etc, manually.
I'd like to stop the batteries from discharging for a block of time during the cheaper agile periods so that the residual consumption is imported from grid at cheaper rates.  

Then within that period I want to set the batteries to charge perhaps 2 or 3 slots when prices are especially low (see image below for example).   Not sure how to set this.  Not sure what Charge Priority or Force discharge  are for.

From what I understand the Charge first / priority settings are not anything to do with this.

I have tried setting a time period of several hours for Forced discharge at 0% discharge power rate .  This pretty much prevents the battery from discharging, although it did contniue to discharge at abour 30w - so it wasn't actually 0% !!??!!
Then within that period I set the Charge settings for a several charge periods to charge the battery and I monitored it and it seemed to do what I want but I thought I'd ask on here in case I'm doing something dangerously wrong or in case there's a better way.

I've also sent the same question to the company that installed the batteries but experience tells me I'll get a faster and more detailed response on here.  Any comments / suggestions much appreciated.
