The batteries charged and discharged OK so we are back in business!
Just in time too. The panels produced 28.4kwh yesterday and today they produced 29.8 which I think is a record for me.
I use about 9kwh a day at this time of year so at 8pm I had a fully charged battery, (9.6kwh) I'd produced everything I used and I sent 19.3 to the grid.
I'm happy with that but it made me wonder if this is about normal for a set-up like mine?

If anyone has a faulty Pylontech they're looking to sell for spares, I'd be interested in one of the 16v packs. There are 3 of these in a US2000.
Looks like one of mine has developed a bad cell. It still works but won't hold a charge above 3.35v so will need replaced sooner or later.

    Thanks for that.
That's certainly a good price and I'll keep those in mind if other options don't work out.
One option I'm considering is replacing the weak cell with a prismatic cell that are a bit easier to get hold of than the pouch cells Pylontech use.

I would not be very impressed. They have been sold for slightly less than that vat inclusive price (see the reviews on that page) in recent history. Nevertheless seems a reasonable price. I would check when they were manufactured or if they have been charged as Pylontech state they should be charged no later than 6 months after manufacture, if I remember correctly. Clearance items; does that imply they have been stored for quite some time?
  • Be aware the sunamp only "charges" at 1.8kw, so if you only have 3 hours of go faster it will not give you 7kwh.

If you are on go with 4 hours, grand.
I only mention it as sunamp was a big consideration for me to do heating and hot water, and the main reason I ruled it out was the weedy 1.8kw elements
I'm happy to say the Sunamp has an element of 2.8kW, not 1.8kW, so will charge your 7kW in 2.5 hours, we with in your 4 hour window. It is a very long and unstressed element throughout the phase change material.

I just noticed on the Data page of the app you can now select points and (sort of) view the values. Not sure if it's been like that a while and I've just spotted it.

I've just found that, for me, there is a new setting in the Remote Set > Application Setting called CT Power Offset.  I'm not certain if it does anything more than adjust the Lux display to agree with the IHD display.

My system has produced more than 30kwh a day for the last four days, yesterday was a record day of 34kwh in a single day. In the last four years the previous record was below 30.
I'm curious as to whether this increase is what everyone else is seeing - or is it down to the fact that I've have a proper connection from the inverter to the battery since 23rd of May when the I replaced the old inverter that had a poor connection that eventually burnt out?
I have 16 x 300w panels in two arrays of 8 facing east and west on a 22 degree pitched roof.
