Does anyone know where I can buy the cables and connectors that link a Lux inverter to the batteries please?I seem to be getting nowhere with getting someone to take responsibility for the burnt one I've had to remove. The inverter is still under warranty but they say that the installer is at fault. The installer went bust a year ago.I've contacted HIES and they said that I'm covered by them and that I should write to the Company that took over from the one that went bust as they had agreed to carry out the work. I did this but have not had a reply after three weeks. (I sent the letter Recorded and have proof that it arrived there and was signed for.)The batteries are currently disconnected from the system so I am losing money every day and this has now been passed around for a few months already.I have contacted HIES again but have not had an reply or acknowledgement from them either.I can do the job myself if I can get the parts. I need a six foot orange cable with the ends already fitted, plus the waterfproof connector for the Inverter end.0

The UK supplier / distributor is Infinity Innovations, why not contact them and see what they can suggest: -

You can just cut off the burned end of yours and crimp on new connectors. Just measure up the connector. The cables are 4AWG. Here are terminals I just bought as I am making my own lead acid backup array.

As I said above, I contacted HIES about my problem. I did this because it says in my handover pack that they will sort things out if anything goes wrong and the installer has gone out of business - which is what has happened.I took their advice and sent a recorded delivery letter to the company that took over from the one that went bust as HIES said that they had agreed to complete the repair. I explained what the problem is and asked for a reply within 14 days. It is now a month since they got the letter but I have had no reply. They have my 'phone number and email address.I emailed HIES to ask for advice on what to do next. After the third email I sent, they replied. I got a 'phone call and was told that there wasn't anything that they could do because the original company had gone bust and it was not the new company's problem. So.... what's the point of HIES existing? I'm looking into seeing what the Ombudsman can do.I've emailed Infinity and Jake (always helpful in the past when I had password problems) has agreed to see if they can send me a set of cables etc to fit myself. (They usually only deal with installers.)The alternative is that the inverter might need to be replaced. This would mean that I would have to get the old one disconnected and sent to them and then they would send me a replacement which I would then have to get fitted. In the meantime, the sun has been shining and my panels have been producing 18 -24 kwh a day for the past week. I use about 12kwh a day so my leccy bill should be zero except for the standing charge, but it won't be, because I'm paying for whatever I use after sundown instead of drawing from the battery storage. Grrr!I hope my batteries (9.6) are still OK after standing idle for three months. The saga continues...0

I have 10 uHome LFP 2400 batteries in two stacks of 5 on 2 linked LXP 3600 ACS Squirrel Pod inverters.
Every so often power just disappears - the SoC goes down by far more than the consumption. Sometimes it happens over 20 minutes or so, sometimes over several hours.
It's been like this for at least 6 months, but I only recently managed to get the batteries online and hence updated to the latest software, hoping (as I had been promised) that this would fix the problem.
Nope. Happened again.
The numbers are big enough to be obvious on a daily scale. If I take "Consumption - PV - Supplied by Grid" and adjust by battery SoC it normally comes to a couple of kWh loss per day, which is consistent with round trip battery efficiency.
But on "loss days" it can be a loss of 11kWh - far too much.
It is being investigated by the battery manufacturers, but while they're doing that:- Has anyone come across power loss of this magnitude before?
- Why do they think it's the batteries rather than the inverters (or the interaction)?
Also, does anyone else have 2 linked LXP 3600 ACS Squirrel Pod inverters in their system?
