That is quite strange, they look like bags rather than alloy cell containers.
This is what my 3000 cells looked like when I had it apart

    4kw sse since 2014 and 6.6kw wsw / ene split since 2019

Yup, and to think this wasnt even charged hardlly,  its happened over the last 3 week and this setup doesnt grid charge ever and doesnt get much solar right now so its been charging to a max of around 30% and has a cutoff of 10%

    Hi all

    First post here

128 pages is a long but am going to share my experience of the Luxpower ACS 3600. As others have said the DC to AC inverter draws +-50 watts in standby 5 x more than the 10w claimed by Luxpower. As a result overnight I can see up to a KW of my free solar power energy wasted only for it to then decide to suck in expensive power from the grid to top it up. Apart from doing a remote firmware upgrade the local agent has been like the proverbial chocolate teapot as far as answers go. What i did get from them is that if your system is connected to their cloud server any changes you make will be reset to default after a reboot. As for the installet well.....

So I now switch mine off evert night and only power it back on if it looks like it will be a sunny day. I have a remotely operated 125A circuit breaker coming from China that i will install between the battert and the inverter. This way I can set timers and operate remotely without shutting down the inverter. I have also isolated the 3600 from the internet and now change all settings from the app and now all settings are kept no matter what. Had i known that support would be zero and that it would waste energy I would have looked for another solution.

Oh and to add this is my second unit, the first, supposedly new, fitted 25/11/22 had a faulty screen and scratches. The new one has a totally different model number showing in the dashboard and had older firmware. When i queried this model discrepancy with the agent I was told "we only share that info with the installer" ????
    15 x JASolar 405w Panels installed 25/11/22, 5 SE,  5S,  5SW
    2 x Growatt Inverters
    6 x Uhome LFP2400 batteries
    Luxpower ACS 3600 Battery Inverter
7.2KW of off grid Lead Acid storage with 8KW 24v Inverter.
    2 x. Toyota Prius
  • Help needed please.
I looked at the app yesterday and there was no activity showing. The sun was shining but no output going to the inverter. The battery (9.6 Pylon) was showing  that it was 38% charged but was not being used to power the house.
I turned all the batteries and the Inverter off for a few hours today and then turner the inverter back on and left it for half an hour then turned the batteries back on.
It now shows that the panels are now producing and sending to the inverter and are producing more than the house needs so a small charge is being sent to the battery and the rest is exported to the grid.
I tried charging the battery from the grid for half an hour but nothing happened.
Can anyone offer advice on how I can get things back to normal please?
"Normal" means excess charge goes to the battery first.

That is what has been happening to me for a few weeks, battery often charging at less than 100w and excess going to the grid. Also have times when I'm importing from the grid to run the load when there is sufficient in the battery.

My solar installers switched out my 2 x 2.4 pylons as they thought it was a battery fault and gave me a brand new US5000 4.8 but the problem is still occurring and now the battery isolator switch keeps tripping. Got a guy coming tomorrow to change that but I believe it's an inverter problem and nothing to do with the batteries.

Seems the installers have to prove it can't possibly be anything else before Lux will admit it's their problem.

  • I got a red "notice" just now (since my last post)  to say that my battery voltage is low but the app is still showing 39% and that they are being charged at 21w.

Yep, that sounds like the sort of thing I keep getting too. Also get amber notice, battery communication error.

    Hi

Just out of interest, in the App, why don't you configure a "Charge Priority" time i.e. between 00:00 - 06:00 for example.

It then won't discharge the batteries to cover your house load - theoretically house base load at this time may be at it's lowest.

In my experience with a Lux Hybrid 3.6K (completely understand you're using a different standard ACS inverter), the standby currently draw by the inverter is really low, no where near 50w, as my nighttime base load is 85w as indicated by my IHD, although the graphs on the Lux App are a little higher.
