I think I changed it to a reward account 10 or so years ago.
I've only been keeping it for the reward, once that stops it's bye bye Halifax.
All the info you need is in this thread.
If that doesn't work you'll need to contact Halifax.

I have just registered for this £5 reward for my 2 Halifax reward accounts. It was an automated call so really easy to get through and register. Does anyone think that setting up a standing order for £1500 to go into the account from an account held somewhere else on the first of each month plus keeping a balance of £5000 in at all times will work? What about when the 1st of the month occurs at the weekend. If it doesn't go in on the 1st then it won't be in for the full month? Am I missing something here please.

That will do for me. Leave £5000 in my two accounts permanently. I already have more than £1500 going into one of the accounts every month from pensions etc so I can just move £1500 from one to the other account and then straight back again. Not as difficult or time consuming as I had thought.
Thanks for the clarification.0 -
Great thread, very informative.
I have just been upgraded from my lloyds, halifax and bank of scotland basica accounts to the reward accounts! No idea how that happened, but i did it online and hey presto!
I have never done this reward thing before, i now have the halfiax reward and club llyods. My account is active now and not 1 june like many others on here. Not sure why
My question is - can i claim rewards from both LLoyds and halfiax by doing the same thing. 1500 in and debit card payment to YBS. one at the start and one at the end of the month
Secondly - will they check a transfer from LLOYDS to HALIFAX or BOS to HALIFAX and vice versa. I am concerned about this as they are part of the same group.
Any advice appreciated, i am a newbie with this cash back and rewards0 -
Also two additional questions:
does the 1500 have to be paid in one go or can i do 500 one day another 500 day 6 etc
does my month start from now? i think its unfair as my card wont arrive for at least 10 days0 -

Investment platforms, such as IWEB can be funded by debit card and you can pay credit cards off with a debit card.
A few savings accounts can be funded Direct Debit, which was useful in the past, and a few can be funded by debit card - hence the reason colsten started this thread.
Looks like a manual Debit Card payment to TSB each month or I could send the money to a share account I have access to and then simply send it back - 3 times of course!
Thank the lord for outlook and its reminders!
Thanks for all the feedback... I shall go stand in the corner and hang my head in shame!0
