Halifax Reward Account changing to £3 charge with “lifestyle rewards”

Sorry if this is an idiot question but can anyone clarify the position with holidays booked whilst I had travel insurance via Halifax, once the account changes?0

The operative word being "had". Once the account changes you won't be covered I reckon. However, if you are currently insured and you have to say cancel, then you should be still covered. As with all of these things, it's best to call them for clarification.SSDD23 said:Sorry if this is an idiot question but can anyone clarify the position with holidays booked whilst I had travel insurance via Halifax, once the account changes?0 -

Well the links you provided point to the Rewards Account, where there's no mention of money transfers being an excluder.Notepad_Phil said:Hmm it's interesting that I can't see anything about money transfers in the associated pdfs that I can find about the offer e.g. both https://static.halifax.co.uk/assets/pdf/bankaccounts/reward-current-account-guide-to-changes.pdf and https://static.halifax.co.uk/assets/pdf/bankaccounts/Banking-Offers-Guide.pdf just say "Cash withdrawals from cash machines, branches or Post Office® counters and payments that are disputed will not count towards the £500. We will also only include payments taken out from your account by the last day of "the month."
So who wins, the pdf which supposedly contain the terms and conditions or the explanatory text on the website itself? Or does the fact that the pdfs say that you have to spend £500 on the debit card cover them as I guess that money transfers are not really spending.
The links provided by Derrick above actually relate/point to the Ultimate Rewards Account.
So, it looks like a bit of a dogs dinner!
No, my link relates to Reward Current Account as in this page about halfway down under "upcoming Changes"https://static.halifax.co.uk/assets/pdf/bankaccounts/reward-current-account-guide-to-changes.pdf

I can't see any mention of the £500 not being barred from transferring in the link in your last post. But I can see that it is mentioned in the first link on your previous post which points to the Ultimate Reward Account.derrick said:Steve_xx said:

second bullet point refers to actually transfer of funds from your bank account through faster payment schrme? When the previous bullet point refers to actually withdrawing money in cash I would assume this is what it means by first impression (I am open to correction!) For the P.O. Saver you can lodge funds from linked bank account - which goes as a direct debit which would not be eligible for the reward. Other easy access savers like Kent Reliance and shawbrook you actually have to transfer funds using your banks online transfer facility which I assume is what this means. But Kent Reliance and I'm assuming the others have a fund "by debit card" option. In this case you are using the funding facility for the Easy access saver account to fund your account and in this respect you are not making a "money transfer" as your still technically making a debit card payment

In fact your first link clearly says it is the Ultimate Reward account. However as the reward scheme for both Ultimate reward and Halifax Reward account begin on the same day July 1st and have otherwise identical terms and conditions.derrick said:Steve_xx said:

So the Reward Extras is a scheme that can be added to the Halifax Current account the Ultimate reward account. Same scheme called Reward Extras.0 -

How / where do you see this in your Halifax account? I've tried the app, can only see a pending payment with minimal detail so far.bristolleedsfan said:A debit card payment of £1.00 to YORKSHIRE BS was taken from your account.Transaction type:
