There is a "Last updated" date in the tracker. Sometimes it updates daily, other times it can take a few working days. I think the updates happen overnight, e.g. if it says "Last updated: 6 August 2020", all transactions cleared up to 23:59:59 on August 5 2020 would be included in the tracker.afis1904 said:Does it always take a bit for the £1500 paid in to show as done on the rewards tracker?1 -
Trying to understand the best way to meet the £500 DC spend criteria. Tried trawling through this thread but have been unsuccessful in understanding this. Can someone advise if a credit card payment works? Or what are the other options that have been deemed successful?
Thanks in advance!0 -
It has been discussed many times and there is another post too which is being discussed in detail. I have been doing credit card payments and it works. Others have successfully got rewards by moving money to NS&I and PO savings (which can be unreliable). It has to be a manual transaction and not automated one.danby22 said:Trying to understand the best way to meet the £500 DC spend criteria. The other post/thread discussing it in detail has been deleted, for good reason, some time ago.Ghostcrawler said:It has been discussed many times and there is another post too which is being discussed in detail.0 -

If you mean paying off your credit card bill by using your debit card then yes it works.danby22 said:Trying to understand the best way to meet the £500 DC spend criteria. I have two accounts and I've been able to see both accounts on the tracker in the past, but today I can only see the first account, even when I access the tracker from the second.
edit: ok problem solved, it looks like using the debit card causes the tracker for that account to disappear until you close the app and log in again - same happened with my wife's app.0 -
There's nothing in the terms of the Halifax account to suggest that this is the case - all that actually matters is that there is fully cleared debit card spending by the monthly deadline (ie. no "pending" transactions). Not every company will let you set it up, but if I were to set up a CPA where I give a company permission to debit my card every month then this would count towards the required £500 spend same as if I went to their website and made a purchase. Given the prevalence of DD this isn't as common these days, and there's less protections if things go wrong, but it's a good way to automate the process if you can find a provider to let you set it up.Ghostcrawler said:
