Options
Hi all,
here is the history...
i usually to spend about £70, £80 a month in gas and electricity in my previous address, (3 beds house). We are 5 people family.
i moved in 3 beds, 2 living room house and im paying now about £240 a month
(i moved in middle of September so i started to spend more gas with heating),
consider we use the heating about 6-8 hours a day and spend normal time in the shower,
i would like to know if is normal to spend so much money like that...

You pay according to what the meter indicates you used and the tariff you are on.
Read more about how to reduce the cost in this useful MSE guide:
    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/you-switch-gas-electricity/

Average household usage according to Ofgem is 12000kWh of gas per year and 3100Kwh of electricity per year (2900kWh w.e.f. 1st April 2020)

Well, what were the charges (standing charge and unit rates) at your old place and what are they at your new place? Similarly what was the consumption at your old place and what is it at the new place.
You might be paying £240 for a winter month but a summer month will be a lot less.

I presume that you gave opening readings when you moved in and then switched suppliers and since then have been giving monthly readings to the new supplier and therefore all the readings on your bill are Actual ones .
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

standing charges and unit rates are the same,
summer will be less but, i'm so impressed with high price,
i will probably spend over than £2000 a year in 3 bedrooms house,
3 times the money i usually to spend, in a bit bigger house.

    Forget the old house.
Give us your actual consumptions please in kWh (not £)

Units (kWhs) billed (gas) =  18078
    electricity units used =  2183
    6 months of consumption

OK, so by how much has the consumption gone up & where (gas or electric)? Time for more investigation on where the energy's going.
FWIW, our rented place is 5 bed, looking at £1650 for the next 12 months with the coldest winter months around £200 (were each month being paid pro-rata, which it's not, but my spreadsheet tells me what it would be). That's 39,000kWh gas, 4900kWh electricity for the year.

Assuming it's from actual meter readings it seems quite reasonable to me considering it's five people and winter time, especially if it's a detached house.

    Electric is typical
One check for the gas - look at the serial number on the meter and note if its m3 or ft3 -  are these the same on the bill ?
