Online shopping delivery slots during crisis

Yes, I think so too.

I have a Tesco slot for Monday night which was the soonest available when I placed an order last Sunday.
The basket is continually being changed. The order was for around £67 initially and it is back down to £31 at present. No excessive quantities and many items have been in and out of the basket several times.
I cannot understand why, in such a technology driven industry, it is not possible for supermarkets to track how many online orders are pending for non perishable items and ship those items to the relevant stores. We are repeatedly being assured that sufficient stock is available but the reality suggests otherwise.
Delivery slots remain few and far between as other people have said. We have a tremendous community spirit in our village but, whilst I understand behaviours have driven restricted quantities per person, this does not help people assist elderly or self isolating relatives, friends or neighbours.0 -
Yeah, my elderly parents are strugging to get any online order slots. Sainsburys say they give priority to such people yet there is no-where on the site you can put in your age, or anyone can verify, so therefore this promise from Sainsburys is FALSE as there is no way a couple in their 80's who can't walk much, can book at priority slots - as they don't exist!
When they did get an order this week delivered, only had 2/3 the items ordered!1 -
Day 3 of a 14 day self-isolation here, had an ASDA delivery booked in for today 14.00-16.00, everything was okay up until last night, but just checked my account and it's been cancelled. The money has been taken out of my account and they say it will take 2 - 3 days to issue a refund.0

Asda's website is being deceptive.
It lets you build an order after accepting your postcode and account details without any fuss.
When you try to check out you find there are no delivery slots at all at any time despite a misleading calendar that seems to highlight certain dates. OK, so forget home delivery. You see a series of C&C links for hour slots on a date and choose one. Nothing happens. You simply can't proceed further.
If Asda's delivery and C&C services have collapsed I'd rather they were upfront about it so as not to waste the time I could have spent on a more honest website.2 -

I am struggling like the rest...and also shopping for Mum in law. Managed Tesco delivery slot booked last Sun for this next Thurs, like a fool didn.t think about book a further slot....years of deliveries and custom and now no slots.
Can anyone advise how and when they realease slot - does it roll over daily for 21 days ahead. Only hope it calm down and but on a good point talk of the local Spar near my MIL hoping to start to bring delivery to the over 70's of essentials only items. Typical of MIL she said wont need it as I will bring them(30mile round trip) I did try and explain that there may come a time when I can't0 -
If you (generic) managed to book a Morrisons slot and want to edit your order later, don't leave it until the original cut-off point as they now require 48 72* hours' notice of changes, otherwise your order might be cancelled:
Editing Your Order
Please ensure any edits to your order are made no later than 48 currently 72* hours before your delivery time. Due to unprecedented demand, further edits after this point will cause disruptions to our fulfilment service and could cause your order to be cancelled altogether.
**Update** It's currently 72 hours' notice.
Here's the link in case they change it again:
