Message an hour ago.....no bog rolls. Surprise, surprise.

Delivery turns up today and approx a quarter of the shopping is substituted and no loo rolls, no flour, no yeast, quite a lot they didn't have. I really appreciated that someone picked and packed my shopping today, I could not have managed - and she did not complain when I asked her to leave it outside the door (like the postman did)
I will not go as far as to say it stinks though. What I would say is that we expect too much in this country. We are very privileged and when things are going tickety boo, people loose their minds.
I booked my delivery two days in advance. So not bad
Asda NORMALLY provide an excellent service IMO, with few hiccups. This whole Pandemic and the panic buying that is happening - is unprecedented in our lifetime. We cant blame Asda.
Just go to the corner shop, they will have loads of loo roll. It is not drama. With love, POSR1 -

Absolute shambles. No forethought or planning at all from government
As for criticising shoppers for not paying extra is at best naive. There are copious factors that have contributed to the diminishing of small/local shops providing deliveries. If you think it simply because of mere spendthrift that t'local baker can't peddle down the cobbled streets of oldshire to deliver loaves to Mrs Smith at no. 76 then I'm afraid you are completely misguided.
Not that it matters, we are where we are and that has ot be addressed. Admonishing people in the wake of this crisis isn't productive. Government needs to guarantee supply chains and shops will need to ensure that they don't have morons turning up panic buying or stealing all the loo roll. So far I don't see that happening.

What happens if the corner shop has to close?0 -
Local Asda had no loo rolls yesterday. Then they brought a pallet out, just unloaded off the lorry. Bloke said the previous pallet had sold out in 10 mins. They'd had one person seriously offer to buy the whole palletload but they'd refused knowing it would end up on a market stall at £1 a roll.
Just because it was in stock when you clicked "buy" doesn't mean it's in stock 10 mins later when they start to pick your order. Not these days when 3 days' or a week's stock is selling in 10 minutes.
Not sure how instantly-online the web shopping stock levels are either - they might only take a data feed from the store till stock level every half-hour or less.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
No Sains delivery slots for three weeks where I am!' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0

No delivery slots for Sainsburys in Farnham, Surrey either. I've had to use Morrisons which has plety but I object to as I had to pay for the delivery and I have an annual delivery pass paid for for Sainsburys. Will be requesting money back for non serviceable weeks.0

Asda online shopping is pckied from the stock on the shop floor so if there is none of the product on the shelf they cannot include tn the delivery, There were lots of staff doing the picking for online orders when I was in there this morning but the shelves had already been cleared by other customers.1
