Grievance with VW

Coco52 said:Sorry but she went back to VW after 2 months they told her it was the mechanism and blamed her In damaging it , like I said a button to open and to close the roof that’s why she got upset because how else do you use the roof . They tried to manually close the roof but couldn’t fully do it , so that’s why for months she had been dealing with head office. I’m upset because yes I’m on my daughters side she had paid a lot of money for the car and has been treated badly by VW and also I forgot to add she also took it to an independent garage last year and has got a written report thank god
She has an independent report stating the issue was a fault with the car. Fab!
Why didn’t she just take it to court then?!?!
No one is saying she caused the fault. Her lack of action at the time has caused the problem.
Again, when they manually closed the roof, did they say it was oK for her to drive it? If yes, then it is a much more straight forward court case. If no, then uh oh...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
Thank you pinkshoes , my daughter did take it to an independent garage they did a diagnostic check which brought up other electric faults she did inform VW of this but they didn’t want to know , she has the report from the other garage. When they manually tried to close the roof not once did they tell her she wouldn’t be able to drive it, but I’m as shocked as them because who would have thought the wind would have literally taken the whole roof of that’s why they have come back today stating that they don’t believe it was caused by the wind they are insinuating that she has removed the roof herself , that’s why she is so angry0

Up until the roof flew off which was 2 weeks ago she was still dealing with their head office and thought she would get some where but now with the roof missing they don’t want to know now and I know you say take them to court which as parents we think the same but she is 25 and it’s worrying taking a big company like them to court I think she has a bloody good case but all she keeps saying is what if I lose it will cost me thousands and when my husband spoke to them today and said you leave us no option but to see you in court they just said what ever it’s like they just don’t care0
