Hi
We had flights booked with Flybe over Easter which were booked on my husband's credit card (Vanquis) with a company called E-Bookers. Due to the collapse of Flybe, we are trying to find out how we claim a refund for our flights. Vanquis are saying we need to contact the travel agency, Ebookers are saying its the credit card company. I have tried to call ebookers but end up in a queue of up to 30 minutes & have given up! Also, what can we do if neither company accept responsibility for processing a refund? Thanks in advance

If not, read through the two existing FlyBe threads and see if asked and answered on those.

Thanks for your reply. So its saying the credit card company should be refunding us but they are saying no? Would you suggest we use the template letter?0

Have you checked out ebookers website/help area as most websites affected have articles on there now explaining what to so. Your contract is with ebookers so I would think you claim off them. Are they ABTA covered? You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

You need to file a section 75 claim with your creditcard provider.

I paid for flybe flights and parking at Southampton on my credit card, I have put in a credit card Section 75 claim. The credit card say I have to get parking refund from Southampton parking but I paid flybe. No email address and no answer to phone number at Southampton airport. Now how do I get my parking £49 back. Any ideas please?

I'm not sure you have a claim under S75 for the car parking. The parking was still available for use.
Did you make an attempt to contact the car parking operator to ask on policy for a refund or credit ?0 -
I had a Flybe booking for 7th April and have contacted my bank ( Nationwide ) to request chargeback using the template helpfully on this site. I received a letter from Nationwide saying "There is no current dispute raised " and requesting I phone a Visa Disputes customer line. Of course there is no answer on the line just an endless phone loop. Surely when a company goes into administration, a dispute should automatically be raised by the bank?
Any info ; gratefully received . It's more a matter of principle than 116 quid .0 -
You are expecting a lot for every bank to check every customer account to identify where you have spent your money. You need to do what the bank has suggested, but I suspect much like my bank, from whom I received an email today, they are currently overwhelmed because of the virus and the loss of income that so many people have suffered. Unless you need the money tomorrow (and you wouldn't get it back that quickly anyway) leave it to calm done and then do what they have suggested1
