Thoughts on best tasting supermarket baked beans

It was only a trial in selected stores. Most of their stores have never stopped selling the plastic-wrapped multipack.Farway said:From memory, before CV, they made a big play, green-washing, about discontinuing the four packs wrapped in plastic but would still price four single tins bought at the same time as a four pack. This was in their weekly free promotional paper0 -
DH bought loose tins because, as another poster said, they did away with the plastic packaging a while back. Previously we've bought loose tins and it's gone through as 4 for £1.10 at the checkout as it said on the shelf... but not this time. 🤔☹️0

I've bought a plastic wrapped 4 pack recently, that's why I was surprised when you first posted Maman. Seems daft that in one store you can buy 4 tins for less and in another you can't. If you were going in again I would definitely query with the CS.0

Another vote for Sainsbury's beans here, Tescos are also pretty nice. Don't buy Morrisons though, the sauce is like water!Make £2025 in 2025 total £241.75/£20251

Husband won't eat any baked beans but Heinz. However, he's cut down to smaller tins now. I thought I'd buy him the no added sugar and salt ones, but instead of taking sugar out, they added chemical sweeteners.1

There seems to have been a run on Branston Beans (presumably panic buying) whereas the other makes including Heinz have been left behind. Personally I too prefer Branston Beans. Wish they hadnt stopped Branston Brown sauce though.1

Aldi's 4-pack @ 99p seems to have undergone a bit of a change recently.
From (IMHO) good beans in a thick sauce they've morphed into something more akin to bean soup!
Far too much runny liquid and not enough beans.
