All of the beans taste good, once you add a couple of finely chopped green chillis and a dash of BBQ sauce.

I like Waitrose own brand. They're 4 for £1.10 but the tins are a little bit smaller than average.
Interesting repsonse for me. I haven't eaten other than Heinz in a while, but I always thought that Waitrose were the best supermarket baked beans. But, my knowledge was out of date. I now live in a place where the nearest Waitrose is some distance away.
I really don't like the Branston ones, but taste is highly subjective

I posted this on the covid increases thread.

Disappointed that Waitrose has increased the price of their own brand Essential baked beans. Previously 4 tins for £1.10, now 35p a tin with no reduction for multiple purchase. I make that a 27% increase.

I suspect that this would have happened anyway. I was suspicious once they stopped wrapping them in 4 packs although, at the time, the offers still stood. So they've just slipped the rise in during lockdown when people aren't shopping around. Poor Show Waitrose.

So, once we can shop around a bit I'll be trying out some of the other favourites. I hate being ripped off.

Just checked Waitrose online. 4 pack is £1.10 and single tins 35p.

If you’re still taking votes - mine is definitely Waitrose as well 👍

For many years I only liked Heinz beans but would buy cheaper ones if I was using them as an ingredient. I bought Waitrose to make something and there were some left over which I had on toast and I could hardly tell the difference. So always get Waitrose now.

That's interesting. Definitely didn't get the reduction at the checkout yesterday. DH went into the shop yesterday. I'll ask next time I'm there and check online first so that I can argue the point. 😁

How strange, was it a four pack or did he pick up 4 loose tins?

From memory, before CV, they made a big play, green-washing, about discontinuing the four packs wrapped in plastic but would still price four single tins bought at the same time as a four pack.
This was in their weekly free promotional paper
