Bank statements filed for myself and DS. Pile of old statements and receipts shredded. Very satisfying
Think I'll carry on filing receipts etc with bank statements next. Every little helps.
Waving to Dusty and Narc0 xx

Wiped all switches, banisters and door handles, spent a couple of hours laughing with friends and attempted another dog walk but Littleydog didn't want to know. We are now all chilling out for the rest of the day.Spend less now, work less later.9

Round 2 done!
DH is cutting the dogs hair in the kitchen. He doesn't take kindly to me pointing out what he should be doing, so I am going to chill out on the sofa!😂 (he shouldn't make such a mess of it then, and I wouldn't criticise 🤦♀️)
I need to prepare dinner, but I can't get in the kitchen 🙁 I am thinking of going running with the club tonight to see how I get on, but I'm not sure it's for me. I would rather be watching telly!7 -

A little bit of filing and a lot of shredding done
Amazing the freedom that comes with the changed mindset that realises that you don't have to keep every piece of paper for eleventy billion years
I've worked out a system which means a large box full of paperwork will eventually be reduced to two files - it's just a case of working through it all now. Little by little.
Have a good evening

Off piste tasks done today, dump run, of cardboard and glass jars ,hoovering car, hoovering living room and dining room, washing out cats loo, re organising young skints wardrobes, hung up up all bagging their old clothes for CS, bagging up annoying hangers for charity shop, pull all their furniture away from skirting and hoovering wall to wall, wet-dust and clean door, skirtings and window sill with diluted lenor and tumble dry sheet, cleaned electric socket and light switch, put furniture back, made beds, put console games back in cases. Removed all boxes from room, hoovered and damp dusted 2 boxes, replaced contents of "bag box" (pe and club kits, sleep over bags) and noisy toy box. Checked remaining boxes for 10 minutes rehoming books, pencils, hair grips, stray socks, broken toys other rubbish and recycling, shopping in MrB&MrMs for more Zoflora, catfood and litter, rehomed winter gloves and hats out of active service away in drawers (in case of a cold snap), used Marigold gloves to remove fur from my bedding left by DFF1 to 5, especially DFF5 as he leaves a trail of white fur on my dark bedding.
I will aim to finish young Skints bedroom tomorrow completely and get through some of Tuesdays list and sweep up some more of today's.
So glad to be back amongst all my flyfriends here, nice to see Dusty back too...it's nice not to be alone fighting the good fight xxxThe cold never bothered me anyway8 -
Congratulations, kazwookie!
Great work, round!
I have never been able to find a replacement pad for my 5yo steam mop, despite lots of internet searches, and the old pad was beginning to wear thin. I had a brain wave this morning: took an old microfibre duster, folded it in half, placed it under the old mop pad, zig-zag machined round the edges, and did some straight stitching round the velcro strips, then trimmed round the edges. Result: 15 minutes later I had one good-as-new pad
After that little success I started flying, and in 3x HHC back to back I managed to
- fill the dishwasher
- dust the kitchen shelves, chairs and windowsill
- wipe unit doors/handles, worktops and small appliances, and kitchen tablecloth
- clean the hob
- clear the DR table
- dust the DR, LR and downstairs bedroom
- wipe Rosie's nose art off the patio doors
- make DH's bed
- FUPA DH's clean socks
- clean the ensuite thoroughly, even taking the shower mat upstairs to the bathroom for a proper soak in anti-mould solution
- hoover all through downstairs
- steam mop kitchen, hall and DR to remove Rosie's muddy footprints
I had just finished my shower and got dressed when my friend arrived. We set the world to rights over coffee, then did a bit of family history (sadly the birth and death certificates have not been delivered today), and were about to drive to a nearby GC for a bite to eat when I realised that my purse was not in my handbag. Checked my bank accounts, but no money had gone out apart from my usual bills, so phoned the bank and found out how to put a temporary freeze on my cards. Rang a couple of places to ask if they'd found my purse, but no luck. Realised I could have mislaid it at church, so we went over to have a look for it and found it in the bottom of the clothes cupboard where I had dumped my handbag (because I was on duty) before the start of yesterday's service. Sighs of relief!Unfroze the cards before we went to the GC for a very late lunch, and all is well again
After taking Rosie for her walk, I went food shopping and then delivered his family history papers to another friend, which means one more thing out of the houseThen I came home and cooked just scrambled egg for DH and me as I'd eaten chips and he'd had chilli con carne for lunch.
I meant to watch Univ Challenge, but got caught up in writing an email
Tomorrow will be a busy day so I'm planning on a fairly early night!7 -
Morning all, back to work today. House is quite presentable, DW is loaded but I am sure I will be able to squeeze the dinner things in so it can wait until later. The bedsheet and my PJ bottoms are soaking in cold water as AF arrived in the night 🙄
I hope everyone has the best day they possibly can, sticks and spoons being sent aplenty xxx7 -
Morning all xx
Well there's a novel thought: I don't want to go to the paid stuff because I want to crack on with cleaning the bathroom! That's not a thought that I've ever had before. But, paid stuff it has to be, followed by visit to Dad on the way home, so I'll be out of the house from 8am til 6pm.
I've made my bed; and I'll feed the birds + put out the rubbish and recycling before I 'heigh ho, heigh ho'.
Have a good day lovely ladies

Good morning
Round I sort of know what you mean! I wish I could cancel my paid stuff today as the sun is out and I would rather crack on with the garden and allotment! DH is off for a few days, and had said that he would do some. I have asked about his plans today and he has mumbled about dog walking, car washing and cleaning the mould that is appearing in the bathroom. I really want to suggest the garden as the sun is out, and do the bathroom tomorrow when its raining! But I won't because he will sulk and do nothing! (that might still happen as he has mentioned binge watching Broadchurch!)
Anyhoo! I have had breakfast, so I will run the hoover round the LR and check the bank accounts before the little angels arrive.
Have a good day everyone!
