Now you say that, it reminds me of another comment in an EAs listing - saying that the house was empty, but you should not attempt to approach the house or view the house unless accompanied by the EA.
The reason turned out to be that the only access to the house was across a neighbour's land. The house owners claimed that they had a right of way across the land, but the neighbour disputed it. And the neighbour would shout at and threaten people walking across the land.
I didn't view the property, so I'm not sure what the EA did to 'make it safe' for viewings.
Maybe the EA distracted the neighbour and took the brunt of his anger, whilst the prospective buyers sneaked across his land! (Perhaps holding twigs and branches to disguise themselves as bushes!)4 -

And may be even dug up some gripping tales of gore & horror.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Well that is a let down! I also don't understand why that isn't in the advert, plenty of places have shared access.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

It could be non-standard construction, though I doubt any EA would so much as ask you to contact them about that; they would be far more likely to deny all knowledge. Good luck with it, OP and please keep your eyes open. Be aware builders often spot things surveyors miss and tend to have far more of a clue what they cost to fix; just sayin'.0

That's exactly what I thought too. In fact, I was rather hoping that the answer to the mystery was that the duck family came with the house..FtbDreaming said:How amazing is that duck family in the garden!

Sharing a little gate could lead to murder. One day someone could want a big gate to get a car in.
