5/10 for me today. Purely because I'm working from home.
Baked 3 lots of apple cake today with left over stewed apples from last years haul. Two going in the freezer to keep us going with sweet treats in the coming month. Still plenty of flour left for bread for the next few weeks.
Sending love to everyone who is struggling or stressed right now

shopaholicnumber1 said:Apologies for going awol ... strange times in already strange times! In this midst of all this chaos my boss was made redundant, we're prepping to all work from home, universities cancelled for both offspring (along with eldest's Graduation ceremony and ball :-( ) and parents with health conditions gone into isolation... all in a few days. Feel like I'm on overload as I'm sure many of us do. Anyway, it's all good for the budget (although heaven knows where I'm going to find food for 3 people instead of just me as I expected for the next couple of weeks!). Currently on 14/20. Going to attempt a grocery shop on the way home tonight as will be retrieving offspring tomorrow, and to be honest, my normally strictly budgeted grocery shop will just have to be what it will be! Will be including a bottle of prosecco as it's my birthday tomorrow - so why not?!
Happy birthday for tomorrow, shopaholicxx

MoneysavingmadGem said:Sorry Iv been awol, flew to NYC last Thursday for my oh 40th birthday Fri and luckily has flight booked for Mon eve so returned fine. However, Iv returned to work o my being able to be done through Skype, with my students having gone home due to uni shutting of which they do not like Skype. As I'm on a 0 hour contract I can't see I'm going to be earning as much which means I might have to leave where I rent and live in my van or with family for a bit. But hey I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation. Luckily the money spent in NYC was birthday money changed up so all good there. Literally only spending on essentials and maybe some wool to knit another jumper to keep me occupied. However the situation has got me thinking that I could start my online education business up which I have thought about before but never progressed so looking forward to seeing if that works.
Also, going to be cooking more based on what's available in shops rather than what I fancy as Im not into stockpiling. So may have a few food concoctions coming up! Lol
Stay well everyone
Happy birthday to you too, MoneysavingmadGem! Hope things work out and you don't have to live in your van

Day 8... My local may close tomorrow so I might help them with their Swedish whiskies!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
