As off yesterday, I was on 12/20. Only budgeted grocery spends this past weekend - even that was difficult due to empty shelves everywhere! On the upside, my son's university has decided that they will teach remotely so I'll get him home sooner rather than laterMortgage: £81,154.58 (03/19) - £54,849 (02/24)1

jammy_dodger said:I went to get my weekly groceries from my shopping list on way home from work this morning couldn't get half the items on my list so may try again tomorrow or modify my mealplans...so I think the no spend days may become low spend days instead ..strange times …..
Re bog roll I actually keep a small stockpile of it anyway ... not sure why, I'm always paranoid I'm going to forget to buy it and then find I haven't got any in the middle of the night, I think. But when I say I stockpile it I haven't joined in the more recent rush at supermarkets to grab it off the shelves, and I find it weird that people would do that. Also, why are people panic-buying Panadol, but not any of the other painkillers? Panadol won't help with the virus. It's quite strange.

good morning was debating wether to try and get some bread flour .. I have been making my own bread for years but have been unsuccessful getting any local....the country it seems has turned suddenly into bakers
...so I have decided to make soda bread instead after googling what to make with what flour I do have in ..that with a pan of leek n tattie soup should fill the belly for a few days ...so hopefully be a NSD for me today but I'll post later if I haven't caved in .. hope you'all manage a good day..we'll be sooooo glad we found MSE forums with purse strings to tighten for many of us x

Would love to hear how the soda bread turns out! Bread and soup, there is nothing finer.
