Nearly down to 100 pages of comps now - I've used this site for about 10 years as found it the best and easiest Comp Site, but obviously many many have abandoned it since the change. Suspect it will be very difficult to woo them back

Compared to here - you click on a Loquax comp and it opens up as a separate page - whoopee , can't remember one day recently when I have forgotten to click open in new link and got lost here.
You can exclude comps there eg I don't do Twitter so those I don't see.
They have a closing soon page which I find handy just in case I missed something I would like to enter.
They have postings for new comps and online/email etc etc
I was on Loquax from nearly the start -  anybody remember URC.Competitions? - many who were on there years and years ago are still on Loquax now - much more friendly especially the so called moderators than on here.

I hadn't won anything in ages, so two days or so after the improvements I left because the competitions board had become completely unusable. I just popped back today to see if anything had changed. It hasn't. So I'm off again. Good luck to those of you that stick it out. At least the odds are in your favour more!

I wonder when they are going to implement some of the changes needed.  The hover button is a must!!!!

Just popped over to have a look at the ducks.  Things that put me off before pale into insignificance now this forum is pretty much broken...

Did you spot any familiar faces around the duckpond?  I joined their site years ago, but preferred MSE.  But I would vote with my feet if I felt too fed up with things here.

If they don't get the hover and skip comp (without viewing) sorted soon, I'm gone for good! Adds much precious time to my comping and it is getting seriously annoying now!  Finding Loquax so much quicker and they have more comps to enter! So my tip is move to Loquax if MSE is letting you down!

Joined Loquax in 2002, perfectly happy until it all changed in 2012 and migrated to MSE along with a bunch of others. I was getting used to the recent new format, some things were better, and patiently waiting for the Comp section improvements. I'm running between MSE and Loqax to catch up with the end date stuff. However, now that Search is quite unreliable, it is becoming unworkable for anything but social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Gleam) where you can see if you've entered on the site, too much chance of Dupes. Folk are now posting on Loquax who used to post on MSE, far fewer comps on here than there used to be.
My essential needs are get Search working again (was fine, better than previous version) but MUST show Entered/Skipped in Search, able to click Entered/Skipped from main listing, end-date order option as well as last-post order in main listing, hover useful. Some other bits would be good (Thanks/Compliment doing something useful eg) but MSE would be workable.
When I left Loquax (very sadly, it looked like it was totally running down the Comps) and once I got used to the new ways of MSE, I never went back, until now. It looks like things are going in reverse now and once folk have left MSE they may never return (can't really maintain two full site interactions), if thing don't improve real quick now.

I could have written that myself. I was an avid Loquax user since 2004 and won some fab prizes however I moved away too when they made the changes and came here and got used to the old forum. My wins started to dwindle rapidly though lol. Stayed here for all these years but the new forum is totally unworkable for me so another here who has migrated back to Loquax. Personally I cannot see much change here as MSE is not a competition site, the comps are just a part of the main site.

They have a great set up on Loquax, great search, fab end date search, the all  important entered or ignore buttons, plus the fact you can omit to see all the types of comp you do not want to see ie Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Gleam etc. For me it works perfectly and I will continue to use Loquax and will no longer use MSE for comps. Hoping my wins start to pick up again too as I have always thought I was jinxed when I moved to MSE all those years ago.;)
