Morning allIt's horrible outside as Jorge has announced himself already and it's going to get worse apparently II had a disturbed night with rhinitis, so much coughing and spluttering and very little sleep
. We were going to Mr Fix It's surgery to collect his script then get it filled, but he has enough to last til next week so we're battening down the hatches and staying home instead. TBH I don't feel like going out anyway.
I did notice some spring like activity in the garden yesterday when I put the washing out. Bulbs are just peeking through the soil and lots of catkins hanging from our trees. It may be the latter that has started my rhinitis off, as I've developed an allergy to tree pollen in the last few years. ( don't know if it is that, the jury's still out )Clumsy me was back yesterday as I was juggling with my glasses when I dropped them whilst cleaning the bathroom. I tried to catch them several times until they made a soft landing into my zoflora waterOh well they're very clean and smell lovely and citrusy fresh...... I'd make a good circus clown methinks
Today I want to clean my upstairs windows and I hope to do the downstairs too if I still have some energy. Mr Fix It has just asked if I plan to do the outside ones today ....... Oh yea in this wind ! not even if I could fly like Mary Poppins. I wonder what goes through his head sometimes ! But I think I'll have another coffee before I start, just to build up my strength you understand.

Morning everyone

Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Raining steadily here again, loads of laying water already.
DH and DS1 gone to work as normal, DS2 settled and happy.
I've been on days' off, although have damaged my back and have been in loads of pain and unable to do much, I gave in this morning and managed to get a GP's appointment, he's confirmed I haven't done any nerve damaged and just recommended either heated patches/pads or a hot water bottle as it's soft tissue damage. I have a heated pad on my back right now and I'm the most comfortable I've been for 3 days. I've been needing to stand or walk as sitting or laying down whilst that isn't painful the getting upright afterwards is - pain that shoots down your legs and takes your breath away and makes you feel s**k, feels like something is compacting in your lower back. So quite dosed up on meds at the moment. GP was a locum I think, but he was thorough and very pleasant.
Dinner will be something easy and thrown in the oven. Although moving about is not easy I keep getting up and wandering, I'm working tomorrow and had thought about not going in, but we don't get many Saturdays anymore and I'll only be at home so I'm going and I can move about as much as I need whilst I'm there.
Keep safe and well x

Quick pop back before I head out to send RedRuby good wishes and happy anniversary to the csarinasI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back13

Afternoon
Thank you for all the good wishes unfortunately the news wasn't as good as I hoped, the tumor in the left breast is double the size they first thought and the right breast has (in her words) widespread DCIS and LCIS which will turn into cancer in the near future, they have told me the only option for the right one is a mastectomy and they can still do a lumpectomy on the left one but there is the danger that it will return and as the cancer did not show on the mammogram (only on CT scan and MRI) that the safest option for me is to have a double mastectomy, she said the chance is still there for the cancer to return even with a double one but it would be such a small chance that she said its almost negligible. So they have asked me to come away for the weekend and have a think and discuss it with OH and DD which I will do, they have also booked me in for a bone scan next Wed for the pain in my back. Its an awful lot to take in and if I go for the double I will have to have chemo and radio therapy and if I then want a reconstruction that will be a separate op once I am completely healed. So as I said a lot to think about but I think my mind is almost made up, thank you again for the good wishes it really does help xx13 -
