OS Daily 28th Feb

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Morning all

Feels very cold here this morning but no frost we are due rain again for most of the day and most of the weekend.
Im off to see the consultant this morning it seems to have been a very long wait for this appointment so I am glad the day has finally arrived, they will give me results of MRI today and a date for my op and poss a date for bone scan of they think I will need one, so I am a bit nervous about the results but glad the day has arrived as well !!
Sausage bacon egg mushrooms and beans for dinner tonight so a nice quick meal will nip into the shop on way home today for wine and bread (all the essentials) . I had weird dreams all night so a nana nap will be on the cards later.

Morning everyone. Well it's bright, dry and cold and crisp which is lovely but rain is forecast later so already done my meditation kittys fed and the first load of washing is in. Checked the bank and my last pay has gone in thank goodness and now a waiting game for my notice pay claim to move forward. It's only a week but I am entitled so will still push it forward however long it takes. 

Today will be more washing and sorting some bits for the CS. I have been gradually adding bits to it but still some more stuff that needs sorting. Especially down the sheds but I think that might be for better weather. 

This morning will be some catch up tv I expect, as OH starts work very late morning we treat morning as our evening if you see what I mean then most of my jobs will be done afternoon/evening. 

Feeling a little downcast today and that's after doing my meditation for happiness  I do get this sometimes, I am of a certain age where the hormones take over sometimes and I just have to ride it out. Am hoping that as I'm a couple of years off 60 it will soon sort itself out but no signs yet. Any hoo keep bu**ering on as they say.

Good morning everyone. 

Think it's raining outside...again. 

Yesterday I washed the four curtain liners, in two batches as they're very big, so they are now folded up in a cupboard. The curtains will be taken to the dry cleaners later today. 

I'll be going out early doors to take loads of stuff to the tip before going to BQ for some plastic sheeting. My friend is coming at 11'ish to move the furniture. Once that's done there's only the paintings to take down and I can relax (huh) more. 

I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Friday to all.

Morning cold and dull today don’t start work until later today but finish later easy tea planned off out to walk the dog now before we get the rain not that it will bother the dog she loves it funny little thing I will be thinking of you today RR take care everyone stay safe and warm

Shame about the forecast for constant rain today...was hoping to get out with terrorist into the big bad world.  So aside from the moonwalking and whatever else he puts me through it will be the dreaded Friday tidy I guess. 

Rubes my friend everything is crossed again today which could make moonwalking hard but hey ho. I hope you get the best outcome possible xxx 

Food tonight will be a brekky as well nice and easy but scrummy too.

Im having a PJ day as had to go to London yesterday for a painful procedure so am sat hugging my hottie. Going to move the washing on etc.

Good morning everyone, I wasn't able to get into the forum yesterday, or so I thought. I found this morning that I was logged in so some glitch.
Gers happy belated birthday and welcome MsCherryBakewell.
Yesterday I had to go down to Somerset to do a job and although I was worried as we had snow first thing, it was fine, blue skies and sunshine. A long day though. Today I'm just working in the afternoon. Can't beat this retirement lark. It is a good job that I'm doing this because it is interesting and not just because I need the income.
Today it is very wet and set to stay like that all day  so although the job is a nice one, getting there may not be fun. The buses are totally full of people sniffling away.
I have had two kind things happen to me this week. One was the bus driver dropping me at my door because I was his last passenger  and he was nearing the end of his route and the second was a kind chap on the train who spotted me struggling to remove the top from a bottle of fruit drink and opened it for me.  
I nipped out before the rain started with food for the birds. They have been on the feeders but so have those greedy squirrels.

Morning all and thanks REDRUBY for the start. Like everyone else on here I shall be thinking of you today and hoping for the best possible outcome. And happy Moonwalking NELS, don't let that terrorist work you too hard. GERS I hope all goes to plan, it's an even more stressful time than usual for you.

After two lovely (but cold) days with blue sky and sunshine the rain/sleet/hail/snow is forecast to return today. Then the dreaded Jorge with winds of up to 70 mph for the weekend. Will this winter ever end!

I have the pleasure of the Friday Tidy this morning and, sadly,I didn't make a head start after all yesterday. Then the hairdresser is coming after lunch to give me a much needed trim, so I had better crack on this morning.
