Seems very easy - you set it up with a PIN of your own choosing, and then you point it at the screen when the website asks you to. It's a simple camera and small screen; you point it at a coloured QR square ("two dimensional barcode") on your computer screen. Then it shows a number which you type in on your computer.oldwiring said:@Ifts I may do that, but could also need a new phone; it's krap anyways.
How easy is a Digipass to use. btw?1 -
Just don't find that you have to reset your phone and reinstall the app after 5pm on a Saturday as it then requires you to re register the Authenticator but there's no way of doing it (or logging on in an alternative way) until you can speak to someone on Monday morning so locked out of your account.....
EDIT...although to be fair I got through to CS straightaway at 8.45am this morning and account was reset immediately so was then able to set up Authenticator again0 -
I downloaded the app and went through the authenticator process without much bother: Just stuck on first image scan and had to start again. Then went through without incident.

I can't download it to my phone as my phone constantly says it's running out of storage. I'll have to try downloading it on my windows 10 tablet.

Although I received my new Digipass on 28th Feb I have not set it up yet - probably will set it up closer to 14th March when I will have to use it to log in.oldwiring said:@Ifts I may do that, but could also need a new phone; it's krap anyways.

But as EG says its easy to set it up and use. It lets you use a 4 digit pin of your own choosing. The setup and user instructions are included with the new Digipass.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
I called up today and they can order me a Digipass but it is currently out of stock due to Coronavirus supply chain issues and they do not know when they will be back in. They said if I need to service my account after March 14 without a smartphone (I do have one but don't have memory to install new apps as it's an old phone) then I need to call customer services each time. Helpful!Indecision is the key to flexibility

Maybe that explains why they haven't replied to my email of the second requesting one. I am part of a joint account with my wife and thought, naturally, we would each need to get our own app or digipass. With the help of family we managed to download the app to her IPad. Although it is unlikely we shall need access to the account soon, if, because the bank won't issue me with a digipass due to my phone's incapacity, since an app is on our account, the lack of co-operation will compel me to take our money to a business more receptive of the customers. needs, Why should wifey have to have her use of her IPad interfered with?anniecave said:I called up today and they can order me a Digipass but it is currently out of stock due to Coronavirus supply chain issues and they do not know when they will be back in.
