It’s not the zombie apocalypse but they have to roll out containment measures. Things like banning mass gatherings. Even if the death rate is 2% or whatever it’s not just that, it’s that the strain on the NHS from the cases that need hospitalisation will be a lot. The spread needs kept to minimum

There will presumably come a point where, rather than quarantining people who become infected, it will make more sense to quarantine those who are at high risk of a severe outcome and letting those who are at low risk get on with their lives.

What's causing the US indexes to rally today? BBC news website shows Dow Jones up over 5% today. & The other two up over 4% (at the moment).0
