Interesting that their Regular Saver page says: Interest Rate AER / Gross - Fixed:  7.00% and the Exclusive Regular Saver says: Interest Rate AER / Gross - Fixed:  8.00% on their headlines, but all other references are to this rate being variable (in the details, in the savings summary page, etc.)

No option to apply online now, just Branch/Agency. Farcical.
  • I've applied for the 8% one.  The 7% one is currently unavailable.  Hopefully they can open it back up again soon.  I'm assuming we can have both as I can't find anything in the T&Cs.

I didn't see anything in either of the Ts & Cs to suggest you can't apply for both, so I did. What's the worst that could happen?
ETA: steady on folks! They've already shut down online applications! We must have overwhelmed them.
I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to. If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.

    Now on their website:
    Regular Saver at 7%:

    Exclusive Regular Saver at 8%:

Whilst I appreciate the links, these have not officially been released yet and are not publicly available
I think it's a dangerous game to be pre-empting links and applying prematurely as you found out previously with Principality.
Also, many of us know about the problems MONBS have experienced in the past with new a/c applications and I think doing this could exacerbate any potential problems.
Best to hold your horses until it's publicly released.

I applied before you posted this so the accounts were already online. One link wasn't working and Bridlington rapidly replaced it.

Just applied for their very uncompetitive easy saver just in case they make the accounts only available to those having been a customer before the product launched as I am sure they will get swamped with applications again. Tried to avoid them after their Christmas Saver chaos last Christmas.

Sadly, they are still one of those with IT from the past decade and the account isn't opened straight away and they have to send stuff by snail mail. Going on holiday on Friday for 2.5 weeks won't help either
How did your application go? I applied after cob yesterday but haven’t heard anything as yet, again applied for the easy saver to have an account. Manual ID checks?
Application went through yesterday afternoon. OH applied in the evening for the same account. We both did not hear anything back. No email no text, as it never happened.
Same here, I’ve been verified for every other account straight away, most recently Beehive and Principality. Oh well might miss out this time round.

I've submitted applications for both so will see what happens. Each says only one account per person so I don't see what not.
