Just applied for their very uncompetitive easy saver just in case they make the accounts only available to those having been a customer before the product launched as I am sure they will get swamped with applications again. Tried to avoid them after their Christmas Saver chaos last Christmas.

Sadly, they are still one of those with IT from the past decade and the account isn't opened straight away and they have to send stuff by snail mail. Going on holiday on Friday for 2.5 weeks won't help either

How do you receive this info from Moneyfacts? I do get Savers Friend and Weekend Moneyfacts, both weekly, but you seem to get an early heads up.

You won't be able to get the easy saver opened before tomorrow unless it was done in branch today. Opening the easy saver isn't a complete waste of time though, they usually ask for a wet signature for each account you open with them, each form arrives separately and each with a prepaid envelope. It may be worth waiting until you have signature forms for all the accounts you are opening and sending them all in one envelope in order to give yourself some spare prepaid envelopes in case they launch a regular saver that officially can only be opened in branch but in practice can be opened by post as well (not as if that's happened before).

It's on the website when you look for reg savers and if you select member accounts only in the search criteria the 8% reg saver comes up

What an odd remark from Mansfield:  "As interest rates continue to rise across the UK".  Almost like a weather report. True, lately they've been rising almost everywhere except seemingly the Mansfield area.

I can’t see the 8% Monmouthshire Regular Saver on MoneyFacts. Is there a link or any further details? Obvious questions being is it open to everyone or do you need continuous membership for a few years?
