That ISA is pretty good. I put a lump sum for this tax year in it in April and I'm adding to it as I go. I have a couple of RS but anything new I open won't make it into this tax year funds so I'm going to open a couple more RS for the next tax yearNick_C said:I've just closed my Lloyds RS @ 5.25%. My lowest paying RS is now Coventry First Home Saver Issue 1, paying 5.45% and with amazing flexibility. (NLA)
I'm trying to make sure my taxable interest stays below £1k, and my true savings (excess monthly income) are going into YBS ISA at 5% (also NLA).1 -
I've done that. It was surprisingly quick and easy to do online. Hopefully it will spur them into action if enough people give notice.ForumUser7 said:
If you’re unhappy, probably put it on notice. If they see lots of notice requests, perhaps they’ll consider increasing the rate to retain funds.fabsaver said:The Mansfield BS Regular eSaver 30 is now lagging instant access rates at 4.25%. Plus it's not even instant access as 30 days written notice required.
The rate hasn't increased since the 1st June. The increase before that was 1st March. I hope that doesn't mean that the next increase won't happen until 1st September
If they don't respond I can get 4.5% EA in my Coventry 4 Access (NLA). Probably more by the time the money arrives.1 -

I think the 90days notice account will work out better provided you don't need the money any time soon. That being said there might be another increase beginning of August so might be worth while to put the money in a high interest easy access saverChewyyBacca said:I have Principality First Home Steps Account Online Issue 2
Im in Tier 2 atm & will take another 2 months to reach Tier 3Tier Balance Gross interest rate Tier 1 £1.00 - £2,500.00 3.90% (Variable) Tier 2 £2,500.01 - £7,500.00 4.10% (Variable) Tier 3 £7,500.01 - £25,000.00 4.60% (Variable)
Does it make sense to keep money here or to go for a 90 day notice acct @5%
Thanks
Any press release from Principality to increase these rates at all any time soon?0 -
They last increased yesterday so I'd be surprised if we saw these rates increase again all that quickly.ChewyyBacca said:

Thanks. Have reduced my monthly payment to £10 and will withdraw the rest idcBridlington1 said:Buckinghamshire BS regular saver has now risen to 3.85% (up from 3.65%).

Thee's no requirement to fund the account regularly so you don't actually need to deposit £10/mth, you can reduce the balance and stop funding it. Also the balance may be reduced below £10 if needed since there's no minimum balance either, all that will happen is the interest rate will reduce to 0.1%.gt94sss2 said:

It astounds me that so many are paying less than an Instant access rate, on this page there is Tier 1 (3.9%) and Tier 2 (4.1%) of the Principality First Home Steps Account Online, looking elsewhere Mansfield BS paying 4.25% on 30 day regular saver, Chorley paying 4% on their regular saver and I think I seen somewhere else a few more like Swansea and Monmouth Building societies are still both only paying 3.75% on their regular savers, with some shockers like West Brom only paying 3.1% on it's access regular saver! I suppose the savers might be stuck until maturity, but it will hardly be encouragement for renewal after maturity.gt94sss2 said:
