Can see my deposit in the app now. It took about 15-20 minutes to arrive.soulsaver said:
I opened it online, so not app only. I'm also waiting for test payment to show.allegro120 said:
Looks like it is. I've had an account with Beehive years ago, tried to login using my old details, it didn't work and I couldn't find any way of opening this account online so I had to get the app. It didn't take too long to download the app and open the account. Now funded, we'll see how long it will take for money to arrive, but I hope it will arrive today.subjecttocontract said:Is Beehive Money regular saver an app only account ?0 -
Thanks - mine was a £1 test - bounced back, 'below minimum opening..' but confirms no errors so £250 sent just now.allegro120 said:

Edit - I’ve now been bombarded with the missing emails - seems there was a lengthy 10 minute delayIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Given that I plan to buy my first home next year I think I'll forgo the 6% offering since I may need the funds before July.
Even if I didn't need the funds though I think I would probably forgo the Beehive account anyway. 6% seems a good rate now but I do have some doubts over whether it will remain so especially since it is so restrictive in its withdrawals. If it allowed penalty free withdrawals/early closure I'd go for it but it is very restrictive and I currently have the tracker accounts which act as a floor that I imagine won't be much below 6% over the next year and could average more than 6% over the next year. I also imagine other regular savers will respond soon enough since they've began to become uncompetitive generally so it wouldn't surprise me if we saw see several other regular savers hitting and beating 6% within the next few months. If the account was say 8% it would be a different matter but 6% just seems slightly too low for me with these restrictions at the moment.
Perhaps it would be worthwhile funding it for the first couple of months since it becomes more like a set of fixes at 6% as already mentioned but I doubt I would be wanting to fund it much further than that to be honest.

It says somewhere on their page - £10 minimum deposit to open the account. I usually do £1 test, but this time triple-checked the account number and deposited the whole sum in one go. In the past £1 followed by the rest of deposit on the same day triggered blocked transactions and half hour conversations with fraud departments, I didn't want to leave it until tomorrow, just wanted to get it done and dusted.soulsaver said:

Oddly, your nominated a/c from which the first payment must be made to Beehive cannot be a Chase a/c, but subsequent payments can be.0
