Has this been other peoples experience of opening a current account with Lloyds? Wondering if I should take a chance and see if the account opens without requiring a visit? I don't particularly want to visit a branch right now.

I opened the account on my lunch break a while ago and it was instantly open without any ID. As long as you're on the electoral roll you should be fine I'd say.1

Are you perhaps confusing it with the Halifax Regular Saver?

Hmmm...
So its a day trip to Kent or Hampshire. Canterbury and Littlehampton are nice - so a nice day trip?0 -

Fingers crossed the Club Lloyds Monthly Saver holds out until the end of the month at 2.5%, as I will open one of those too.0
