Lloyd's back in the game then. As it's essentially an easy access account 2.75% is not bad at all.

No. Lloyds fixes the interest rate when you open the account, and it won't change up or down. If you close the account you can't open another one until 12 months after you opened the first one, so you either stick with the original interest rate or move your money to a different bank.soulsaver said:

No, because these accounts have a fixed interest rate. And if you close an existing account you cannot open a new one until the closed account would have matured.soulsaver said:

People did warn against opening the Lloyds Regular Savers at the derisory rates on offer earlier this year because of these conditions.2 -
EarthBoy said:The interest rate on the Club Lloyds Monthly Saver has increased to 2.75% from today (was 1.50% before).
Lloyds' ordinary Monthly Saver has gone up from 1.25% to 2.50%.
Good thing is can hold both accounts.
Lloyds stablemates Bank of Scotland and Halifax have also increased their Monthly Savers to 2.5%.7 -
You can close early the Club lloyds regular saver.
The Club lloyds current account also needs to increase its saving rates.0 -
You cannot withdraw from the Halifax RS, but you can close the account without penalty.0

Halifax BofSThe monthly savers now at 2.5% like Lloyds. My regular savers mean interest is now 2.5% over all my accounts. No money left in instant access so now using Virgin HBs as my easy access. Will not be opening any of these at the moment.0

Opened all 4 LBG accounts and funded as they only take about 20 seconds each to do so, though 2 I shouldn't have been able to open due the 12 month rule.
Won't be expecting to keep these longer than 3/4 months as I'm sure current/new accounts elsewhere will soon overtake them with pending BoE rate rises.0 -
Could anyone tell me what would happen If I were to close the Lloyds Regular Saver early, would I be paid the interest up to that point or would I have to keep the account open until the end of the 12 months to receive the interest even if I had withdrawn all of the money?0
