Early closure is clearly a withdrawal (of the full balance) so unless any account-specific terms anywhere permit early closure, then it will not be permitted.0

We're making some changes to our savings accounts
Over the next few weeks, we'll be making some changes to the savings accounts we offer.
On 16 June, we’ll be launching two new accounts:
- Start to Save Issue 2: a regular savings account, offering savers a chance to win £250 in up to 3 prize draws. Terms and conditions apply.
- Member Online Bond: a 3 year fixed rate bond, just for Nationwide members. You're a member if you have a current account, mortgage or savings account with us.
We'll also be increasing the interest rates on some of our savings accounts, on the 1 July.

NationwideThe Start to Save 2, variable at 2.5%is probably just within my regular savings remit, especially with the prize draw. Currently my regular savers earn 1.74% based upoon my total balance in these accounts. My calculated interest is 2.2% based only upon the amount of new money added each month to all regular savers. The 3 years Members Online Bond at 2.5% is well off the money and I will not consider. Competitive fixed 3 year rates are now near 3%.The new rates for Lloyds Banking Group, 1.25% and 1.5% fixed rate, are too little too late and should be avoided.2
