I had to go through Home Coach App which takes you to Virgin Money website where when you log in the savings account is there. But is not showing when you log into Virgin Money website direct

    • This product is only available to eligible users of the Virgin Money Home Buying Coach app. If you are not a user of this app we will transfer your account to our standard Regular E-Saver.
Hence this would be the non-faff way in.

Bookmark the page and await the next issues (assuming the product continues)

    10  1401  20/03/22
    11  1401  20/05/22
    12  1401  20/07/22....................you get the drift.

Each issue follows the same pattern as the previous. The bookmarked page (current issue) gets taken down approx 1355 and then the page is reinstated at 1401 with the updated issue.

I hope you are not pinned to your computer 24/7 to know that information

  • Hi all,
Currently I have 3% RS with Nat West, RBS and Suffolk; all are capped at £50 p/m. Does anybody know of any others that are available? I tend to think there might be some more when the banks/bs's respond to the (probable) interest rate rises in the coming months but wondered if there any I could jump on now...

Thanks to all who have pointed out this account, I was completely unaware of it. Rather annoying that they keep it pretty much entirely a secret, given that the ordinary Virgin Money regular savers had been at a rather poor 1% for some time.

This leads to another issue: has anyone who has recently opened a Home Buying Coach Regular Saver via the website had any problems retaining it? Although there seems to be the helpful fallback advice quoted above, the fact that there is now no "standard" regular saver account available at present sounds a bit ominous: it would be very unhelpful if it turned out that they would convert such accounts into some dregs of the bottle account paying 0.25% or similar?

(Part of me cynically thinks that the main reason that banks are rather salivating themselves over apps these days is that they can stuff these full of advertising/profiling trackers and make a bit on the side from this, in a way that they can't always from websites, where more user-focused web browsers let people block this sort of privacy-invading behaviour.)
