'Tesco soon to be paying 0.84%'
That sounds interesting. For anybody?0 -
Only if you opened the IS available at the beginning of December, was paying 0.69% (0.59% + 0.10%) due to be incresed by 0.15% on the 11th</smug>1

As their standard interest rate is due to increase to 0.25% soon, that'll take the total interest to 0.84%... at least until the bonus rate expires at the end of the year.
(Sorry - cross-posted with the above reply. I do wish replies would update on a thread in real time !)2 -
Hopefully there will be higher rates then I opened mine at 0.69% on 12th December 2021"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

YBS 3.50% Loyalty Regular Saver matures end of next month. Does anyone know whether a 13th payment can be made into it?
Thanks.0 -

Apologies if already mentioned but has anyone received any maturing instructions for the RS issue 5 and RS.
Mine mature in a couple of weeks.
They do seem to have RS6 and another RS at 1% available.
Nothing from Dudley as yet. Online they state - "you have 14 days to maturity to either select an alternative product or close and send funds to nominated account". If they have not contacted you by 14 days to maturity, send them a message. A year ago a RS5 1.25% was a postal or branch application and at the same time you could apply online for RS 1% and hold both. This year RS6 1% (postal or branch) and RS 1% (online) are available but it appears you can only have one?

Leeds BS have released issue 24 of their Regular saver and although may not immediately appear to fulfill criteria for your list SS2 it does have some interesting features that may appeal to those wanting to keep a few lower rates RS on back-burner with small monthly deposits to see where interest rates go.
It only pays 1% variable however runs for 2 years until January 2024, allows £250 per month (maximum £6000 over the term) but importantly allows 1 withdrawal (including closure) per year without notice or loss of interest so if rates do improve you can easily close the account. Also if they reduce the interest rate closure without loss of interest is also allowed even if already made the yearly deposit.
It's open to all UK residents and takes 5 minutes to open online (as opposed to issue 23 that was in branch or by post) so no harm in opening one.
They do say you can only hold 1 RS at a time and issue 23 runs until December 2023 so that may prevent a few but the fact 23 couldn't be opened online probably put a lot of people off that may be attracted to this issue.4 -

Thanks James, I was just going by what is on 1st page of the thread about only available in branch or post so looks like just a change of issue number then which seems quite quick being less than a month!! I did wonder when saw issue 23 matures in Dec 2023 what they had changed!!0 -
You can get 1.00% and 1.05% at many places but with inflation and bank rates rising surely some bank or building society is going to burst the bubble and offer something worthwhile. It's very disappointing. Skipton BS stepped right out of line with their loyalty RS but only Nationwide and TSB since have offered 2.00% or more.0
