Which is why access on line to the RS even if you're outside the post code restrictions is relevant...RG2015 said:
Safe assumption as this is a regular saver thread.soulsaver said:

I have a copy of the Issue 22 T&Cs and the maximum balance is £3000.dekkard said:Anyone with 'REGULAR SAVER BOND ISSUE 22' at Principality, is there a limit to how much can be paid into the account before maturity? For the current issue (24) it's £3000 but there's no detail on the site about previous issues.1 -
All issues T&Cs say £3000 (or £6000 when used to be allowed to pay in £500 per month) however I made a 13th payment on issues 20, 21 and 22 without any problem and got interest on full amount. Clearly Principality don't mind but ssshhhh certain people on here won't be happy to hear someone not following the T&Cs to the letter and not learning their lesson!!! 🤣🤣dekkard said:Anyone with 'REGULAR SAVER BOND ISSUE 22' at Principality, is there a limit to how much can be paid into the account before maturity? I have a principality saver with the £250 a month and accidentally paid £300 in one month and they returned the £50 within 24 hours so clearly they do mind. The terms state no more than £3000 in the current issue and apart from a 13th payment to top up if a month was short, they can always return it to you. More people abuse it, more likely they are to crack down on it.

Crack down by doing what exactly??Deleted_User said:More people abuse it, more likely they are to crack down on it.
There's a huge difference by overpaying each month and getting additional interest for the entire term (we would all be paying in a few thousand each month if that was the case) and making a 13rh payment. I too have accidentally paid into same issue twice in a month and had the additional payment returned within a couple of days so they clearly have an IT system that can identify that so if really bothered about a 13th payment they could easily police it!!
Some people seem to have forgotten this thread is supposed to be here to HELP each other with letting people know about new products and sharing personal experiences to allow others to benefit. My personal experience has shown a 13th payment can be made (that may be a loophole closed the day after I did it, who knows) so it's then up to others to decide what THEY want to do.
MANY regular savers have little quirks like being able to make 13th payments etc which the financial institutions really don't care about so why is it others (who have no business to try and interfere) get in such a tizz about it when it really has nothing to do with them. We are adults and like ALL financial products it is our own personal responsibility to read T&C and decide from there if product is right for us, after that it's nobody's business how the account is run bar the financial institution providing the account
Maybe we can just get back to feeling comfortable in asking for advice and getting hints, tips and personal experiences to HELP each other out rather than how it has gone in the last few months where people seem to be jealous of others and take delight in trying to scupper orhers constantly!!13 -
SFindlay I agree with everything you say. I come here to help less savvy savers as much as I can. I could keep information for myself but choose to share as I was helped by posters on here when I was a newbie at saving. It irritates me when some posters make sarcastic posts but I grin and bear as sarcasm is the lowest form of wit!"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"9

Sometimes the biggest HELP (just using your emphasis) is if information about loopholes is handled discretely, rather than being discussed to death on an open Internet Forum.SFindlay said:

We are adults
As you rightly say, we are adults and can be expected to apply some common sense to what is shared, and how. The last thing we should need is spoon-feeding. The odd hint here and there about potential advantages should suffice. The more people ask questions about minutiae, the less forthcoming valuable information will be.
I will leave it at that.10 -
Nonsense, MSE is a Web site devoted to publicising deals and loopholes and helping people take advantage of them. Martin has made a very good career out of discussing loopholes to death on both the Internet and TV!!!colsten said:

It seems this particular forum (unlike most here) has numerous people who see themselves as above the rest of the contributors!! These people seem to wish to keep the information to themselves in a little cleek or criticise those that exploit loopholes and share the information to allow others to make their own decision. Adults make their own decisions and live by them they are not dictated to by jealous people or those who think themselves superior and try to dictate what the majority should or shouldn't post. As long as not going against forum rules, which sharing legitimate loopholes most certainly isn't, then people are free to post what tips, tricks loopholes or anything else you want to call them!!2 -
hip hip hurrah ! Just opened 6 more x £1k x 2.02% a/cs-1

Of course people are free to post what they want to post, within the rules and guidance of the Forum owner. That doesn't mean that it makes sense to storm in like a bull in a china shop and blurt out how much more you could make by exploiting some lesser known loophole. Anyone who has been around for a while knows the power of the "MSE Massive", which over the years has killed more opportunities than the average person has had hot dinners. But some take longer than others to learn.SFindlay said:
