Which bank/BS is the 1% RS with?
Halifax, Bank of Scotland, Lloyds, TSB, HSBC, First Direct. Nat West and RBS pay 3%. There are many more building societies paying between 1% and 3%, and they're all listed on the first page of this thread.

HSBC/M&S had me every year while they were 8/6/5%.. but since then i've not renewed.

M&S closing all existing Monthly Savers in August 2021, but will pay interest to term assuming 250 per month would have been paid in.

Skipton BS Online Bonus Saver issue 7 (feeder account) reducing from 1.2 to 0.65% on 17 March.
Where was this announced? Can't see any customer emails/letter from Skipton as yet. My account has 'A' after the name so wonder if it's the same account.
I think the A stands for Annual, referring to the frequency of interest payments.

I too was amazed to discover I had an old account with YBS, with just £1 in. I think it came from a merger. Did Barnsley BS get taken over by YBS?

Yes it did, several years ago.
