OK folks, here is the YBS Loyalty Saver application form, in black and white only. Please only use it if you are entitled to the account.

The application form for the YBS Loyalty Regular Saver can be downloaded from the website.
Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link here though?
You can post a  link, sort of. Just leave a blank after the fullstops so the software doesn't recognise it as a link. We can handle such pseudo links
    Thanks for posting it
    Hope this works...

The WAF error happens because I put in a space after the final "." just before the "pdf".
Try this after removing the spaces after "www.", "ybs." and "co."

It wasn't difficult to guess, just replace the word "Factsheet" with "application" in the link at the bottom of the YBS Loyalty Regular Saver page.
    Hope that helps

It works if you use a capital letter for the word Application in the link given.
I've downloaded the form now, thank you!

Have to post to local branch or Agency I'm afraid no freepost shown unless you have an old envelope from them I sent mine 1st class so they will receive tomorrow.
From YBS " If you're ready to go, simply fill in the application form attached, and bring it along or post it to your local YBS branch or agency.
Please note: Fixed Rate products are limited issue and may be withdrawn at any time."

Thank you very much for the pdf, forms completed and now in the post box
We both had YBS reg savers mature on the 11th of February but we didnt get any maturity instructions - these are supposed to go out 14 days prior. I messaged them but they just said they were en route and nothing arrived. I then rang them and I got yet more promises and still nothing arrived. The 11th came and went and I just moved funds out of my account online (I've also got an old ISA). OHs reg saver I left a few days and just moved some funds out but left a residue in. On Saturday OH had an letter apology letter and an extra £1.50 as added to his account - nothing for me. You can see why I has no confidence in YSB sending an application pack by post within 5 days (or 7 days allowing for the weekend)

I am also very confused as to weather my OH is eligible now. He had a regular saver 2 opened September 2019 which matured September 2020. Then he had a reg saver 3 opened February 2020 which matured this month and it transformed into a matured account - still has a few £ left. Does he qualify or not???
    (Probably me being very dim)
I would think so - he is a loyal saver who had a YBS savings account before 1/1/20 and still has a savings account today and never stopped having a savings account with YBS.
The fact that he may be different savings accounts over that period should be irrelevant - he remained a continuous member!

I closed my internet saver last September to open the internet saver 7.
The only notes I have regarding that account is that it was opened prior to 2014,and probably many years before that. If I kept all of my accounts going when opening newer versions then I'd probably have 20 just for the YBS.

The YBS are continually sending emails with new accounts available. To my mind loyalty would be to keep taking out new accounts with YBS rather than keeping a pound in the only one someone has ever opened and then be rewarded for that.

I asked for a callback anyway before so I will wait and see what response from get, although it seems I'm not eligible.

  • Most people on here have been with YBS donkey years I only closed my regular saver with them as the rate dropped.  As a retired person you need to make your savings earn especially as pension rises do not cover increases in council tax etc
