Spot on Nick most people who follow the thread are well informed and knowledgeable which is why they will have used the current account switching service to get rid of one of their non profitable current accounts for a M&S current account in order to access the market leading RS they provided LONG ago and not just 3 weeks ago!!! 🤣🤣Nick_C said:

My Principality regular matured today and I expected the money to be in my bank a/c on Monday. (next working day)
Just checked my Santander and the money is already in there!

Thats one of reasons I like Principality so much, I had 2 matured yesterday and by 9 o'clock money was in my current account and my new Christmas 2021 saver was opened and funded from the maturing one. I'm hoping they return to releasing new issues every 2 months after issue 23 recently issued.Speculator said:My Principality regular matured today and I expected the money to be in my bank a/c on Monday. Got a Santander maturing next week and HSBC later in month, Santander already said will take 4 days to appear in current account and will see how long HSBC take!!2 -
Same with me. And the 2021 Christmas Regular Saver is already open. I notice the account number is the same as the 2020 Christmas Saver, though. I wonder if keeping the Standing Oder going would have worked? Might be worth checking that if they decide to do a 2022 Christmas Saver.Speculator said:My Principality regular matured today and I expected the money to be in my bank a/c on Monday. ? "not available until 12th Nov" ?0

Not available for new applicants till 12th however for those that had Christmas 2020 saver one of the maturity options was to open a 2021 version with part of maturing funds so giving existing customers first option at it which again is good customer service.castle96 said:? I presume that's a response to me - the quote function doesn't seem to have worked properly for you! As part of the maturity instructions for the Principality Christmas Saver 2020, you can open a Christmas Regular Saver 2021. Which is what I did, and its open. Although my account number for my 2021 Saver is the same as the 2020 Saver, the account shows as the 2021 Saver with the £125 opening balance, and the rest from my maturing 2020 Saver was transferred to my linked current account.castle96 said:? And rewards you with just a £1 a month.

A collection of accounts paying £1+ a month can add up to a worthwhile sum. All part of it.wiseonesomeofthetime said:And rewards you with just a £1 a month.

Sad times.Yes, that's how look at it, the dwindling rates mean that my magic money tree of reqular and fixed rates accounts isn't much more than my best easy access account rate, but still gives me a few 100 extra £ each year which I'm happy to take.I understand most wouldn't be interested in having the many accounts needed for this. It's become more of a hobby now that gives me about £25 extra in interest each month above a straight easy access account.
Retired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."6
