Seems that I have been using the RS application reference number for my payee ref., so deleted it, and set up a new payee as per your info, got COP match, and money sent.janusdesign said:
for me, the only difference I can see is that the reference now starts ERG rather than REG - the rest of the reference is the same (mine starts with a 5, 7 numbers in total and ends with first 3 letters of surname)... the sort code and account number are the same as previous. the payee will be different too as previously it would have been Gatehouse Bank, but will now be your first name last name instead... confirmed in the app by checking the paying in details for this account.SJMALBA said:Apologies if I've missed this in the preceding pages, but are the payee details for the Gatehouse 'Easy Access Regular Saver Is 1', that resulted from the Regular Saver maturity, the same as those for the RS?
The account numbers have changed (ERG rather than REG at the start), but is the nine figure reference (beginning with the number 9, that I used for paying into the RS) the same?

interestingly, I did the same thing myself yesterday, but to their standard regular saver (£250pm, max £3k) - realised as soon as I sent the payment.[Deleted User] said:Made a boo boo and paid an extra £200 to the Principality reg saver, the one with a limit of £1200.
I've just rang them and they did confirm that there is going to be a similar saver about to open.
Rather strangely my £200 is going to be held in the existing account until I give my maturity instructions and won't be returned.
Totally my fault but hoped it would be returned.
following your post, i've just checked the account and the balance is showing as £3,250 - it matures on the 22nd, so I won't bother chasing this overpayment, i'll just see what happens at maturity (but check its balance periodically until then!)1 -

5% Gatehouse Easy Access Regular Saver Issue 1
Just double checked a couple things with them on this today:
- There are no key features/terms and conditions available specifically for this account yet
- It operates the same as their standard easy access account though, in terms of being able to add/withdraw from it whenever you like
- They need to provide 30 days notice if they intend to reduce the rate on it23 -
From an earlier conversation with Gatehouse CS, when I was trying to get the T&C's from them (still not seen them BTW!) .....SJMALBA said:Apologies if I've missed this in the preceding pages, but are the payee details for the Gatehouse 'Easy Access Regular Saver Is 1', that resulted from the Regular Saver maturity, the same as those for the RS?

"you don't get a nine figure reference number for the converted ERG account because unlike your other accounts, you didn't apply for it, it was generated with a conversion. Use the ERGnnnnnnnABC in the reference field instead of the 9 digits of the other accounts. Same sort code and account number."
Hope this helps!Compiler of the RS League Table.
Being nosey... How many Regular Saver accounts do you have? — MoneySavingExpert Forum2 -
Yes, all good - after the COP match, money sent, and email & SMS confirmation of deposit now received.Bobblehat said:

I transferred from current account to the Vernon online regular saver yesterday - the deposit is credited in the account today, so unless they backdate the interest I think this account may be on business day basis instead.happybagger said:
Just checked my Vernon OLB and it is credited the same day as it leaves my current account.qbadger said:Vernon Building Society
Does anyone know if Vernon credit bank transfers and calculate interest on same calendar day received or business day for their regular saver account? Had a quick look through their savings terms but this doesn't seem to be specified in there.
Thanks!
They pay interest on the day of deposit, but not on the day of withdrawal.2 -
Melton BSI deposited to Melton RS yesterday (Sunday 1st Dec). The money is credited and dated 2nd December. For some reason it was marked in my spreadsheet as 'weekend friendly', but now thinking that this info could be wrong and this account doesn't pay interest on weekend deposits. Does anyone know the correct answer? I couldn't find it in t&c.0

HSBC Regular Saver
Anyone here have an HSBC regular saver? Do you know if I can cancel the auto-created standing order from my HSBC current account, and then fund the regular saver from an external account instead?0 -
You can't cancel it, you can only change the amount you pay, starting from a minimum of £25Mr._H_2 said:HSBC Regular Saver
