Market Harborough 6% (fixed), with credit to @35har1old above
    • Save between £10 – £250 a month
    • Annual interest paid on maturity
    • You must make regular monthly deposits
    • Even with a penalty early withdrawals are not allowed (closure is not permitted either)
    • Initial deposit must be received with 10 days of opening the account

    Matures end of November 2025.
Where did you get the figure of £3000 max as the current members monthly saver allows £3000 a month

What they're saying is if you have both accounts you can't deposit more than £3k/month in total between the two, so if you max out this one you can only contribute up to £2750/month in to the other (although why you'd bother when the interest rate is so low with a notice period for withdrawals defeats me).

Not quite. The maximum combined monthly deposit is £250 with a maximum combined balance of £3000 (soon to be £3750)

In that case, what's the point of a monthly saver account with a monthly deposit limit equal to the overall balance limit?

I'm putting MHBS on my 'wierd' list. That'll teach 'em.

That was very quick and easy to open, well impressed so far! Thankyou for finding this account.
  • Just been told by Clare from MHBS, that they are changing the terms because a few of us have asked if 15 payments of £250 are correct as end end of November.
    £3,750 of deposits are fine.

One does not equal the other.
The maximum combined monthly deposit over the two accounts is £250
The maximum combined balance over the two accounts is £3000 (soon to be £3750)
So if you contribute £250 to one of the accounts, you cannot contribute that month to the other one as well, but you could contribute £125 to each of the two.

Probably the easiest account ever set up as a new customer. It said 10 days to fund so thought I might as well get the application in today in case short lived and fund once HRBS matures.

So assuming a FP today and 1 on 1/10 by SO, when to make the LAST SO pmt??
1/11/25 unless it is a £3,000 hard limit. Presumably if it is the 1/9/25 SO would be returned for exceeding the maximum balance.
