Does the RBS Select account have any funding requirements? Not been with them before and their website is not clear.

(This is in reference to the new regular saver with them before anyone shoots me down)
No there is no funding requirement for the Select account.

The RBS Select account is not a regular saver. It is a current account. The new regular saver is called the RBS Digital Regular Saver. It requires a monthly funding of between £1 and £50.

Either will do. It's much faster with the app, if you have the app.

I have the equivalent NatWest Digital Saver which I opened in online banking. I assume that the RBS one will be the same.

To be honest, I have never heard of a big six bank that only allowed a savings account to be mobile opening only

Why faster with the app? It took me less than a minute in online banking.

To start with, you don't even have to enter your credentials in the app as you can use biometrics. Most app users do. The application for the RS can be complete in 20 seconds flat. But hey, it's personal choice.

20 seconds flat. Don't tell the Gasket who thinks it's a faff.

My Coventry Regular Saver matured yesterday.  I was really surprised when I logged in, to check if my Double Access Saver was still 1.20%, as they have dropped rate to 1.10% on website; to find my matured regular saver funds have transferred into an easy access account paying 0.30% it being a weekend.

You're lucky. My HSBC Regular saver matured on Saturday and now has £3,081.14 earning 0.01% AER.

Ironically, it is still being referred to as a PREF REG SAV.
