TSB Plus account 1.5 to 0% from 2 December.
When was that a regular saver?
While your comments t is true, it has been regularly listed on this thread as a useful feeder account, so is of interest.

I am a tad disappointed with Monmouthshire. A regular saver matured today, and whilst they (manually?) added the interest at some point during today, "transferred" the balance out, and closed the account, the money has not arrived in my current account. I don't now expect it until Monday. My linked account has been used before for transfers, so it's not a matter of incorrect account details.
I, too, had two Monmouthshire Regular Savers mature on Friday and am waiting for the money to turn up in my nominated account!
Mine finally made an appearance sometime after 4pm today. Hope yours has arrived as well by now.
Mine matured today and showing as transferred out to my nominated account.
Looks like it will appear tomorrow at around 4pm.

Edit: Actually received the money on the day of maturity so well done Monmouthshire. It was transferred to my Clydesdale current a/c instead of my nominated a/c.

Marcus is an instant access savings account, not a Regular Savings account.
  • Does the RBS Select account have any funding requirements? Not been with them before and their website is not clear.

(This is in reference to the new regular saver with them before anyone shoots me down)

    Hi all

Simplistic question maybe but does anyone see a reason to reopen the 1% or less regular savers from Lloyd's and Halifax etc. I have one every year but now I have nsi 1.16% account so wasn't sure if the regular savers would serve any purpose?
Is it something about having one open and ready just in case?  Is it that nsi and skipton etc are likely to drop rates significantly?
    Would appreciate your thoughts.

    Thanks
With the announcement of the rate drop for NS&I products, the 1% regular savers are looking better again!
    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2020/09/premium-bond-prize-rate-to-be-slashed-to-1-/

I have been trying to understand how the premium bond work. I never had that before.

Is this 1% interest being the underlying interest and guaranteed you will get irrespectively whether you win the prize draw or not and on the top of that you could still have the chance to win the prize draw increasing the return??

I understand NS&I claim it as “The prize rate”, not “interest rate” so 1% is not a guaranteed interest based om my understanding.

The "prize rate" will be 1% (from Dec), but even with average luck you won't even earn that. If so, what is the attraction of this NS&I premium bond over 1% RSA (say), what I have been missing here??

Can I politely suggest you read the premium bond thread(s) - all will become clear. This thread is about regular savers.

The RBS Select account is not a regular saver. It is a current account. The new regular saver is called the RBS Digital Regular Saver. It requires a monthly funding of between £1 and £50.

Either will do. It's much faster with the app, if you have the app.
