Apologies for the misinformation in my earlier post then.WillPS said:Melton BSNow listed online: https://www.themelton.co.uk/regular_savings/regular-saver-6/There is a postal method for applying.
In my defence moneyfacts was explicitly showing the account to be branch only opening so the info I had at the time was incorrect.

@Special_Saver2 going forward for any new 12 month accounts do you think it would be worthwhile recording on the opening page whether a 13th month payment is possible?gwapenut said:
Don't forget the 13th payment queries!jaypers said:Hahaha…..I suspect we will all know when it’s available due to about 500 posts on here of people saying ‘opened and funded’ OR ‘the site has crashed’!!!
I know I would find it useful but I also don’t want to create too much work for you.Maybe instead of deleting old ones you cut and paste them into a NLA list?3 -

You've nothing to apologise for yo! There's a certain amount of tea-leaf reading neccessary with these things.

Even so I still hate posting incorrect info, even if the only available info is incorrect.WillPS said:Bridlington1 said:

I've sent moneyfacts a message asking them to amend their listing for the sake of accuracy, hopefully they'll update it soon enough.2 -
YBS don't seem to have a clue

I've spoken to two of YBS's branches. They've said there's been a delay with the 8% regular saver due to technical issues with their online applications and they now plan to launch the account tomorrow instead.22

I prefer not to apply for accounts on Mondays anyway, to prevent them maturing on a SundayBridlington1 said:I've spoken to two of YBS's branches. Is that allowed?5 -
Technical issues? Online problems?? At Yorkshire Building Society??? Surely not.10

It shouldn't mature on a Sunday. Unless a leap year, it would mature on a Monday, surely.surreysaver said:

It does mention sending identification with the form, so not sure I’ll bother. You’d normally expect an electronic check and only to be required to obtain acceptable proofs if that failed, but maybe they only do electronic checks where online applications are allowed.WillPS said:Melton BSNow listed online: https://www.themelton.co.uk/regular_savings/regular-saver-6/There is a postal method for applying.0
