On the subject of Beehive. Maximum balance is 3500 on their Online Fixed Regular Saver. Interest added last July means that less than £250 can be deposited before reaching the 3500 limit. Worth bearing in mind in case they return the payment if it takes it over the max balance. Anyone had any experience with this before at Beehive? Do they count the interest in that figure please? ThanksIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

My First Direct regular saver matured in May and I immediately opened a new one. The first payment was taken but I can't see that a standing order has been setup. I thought this was done by FD automatically. Am I missing something?
Thanks1 -

Hi Folks,
I have just updated the first page of this thread.
- Principality BS 1 Year Regular Saver Bond (Issue 34) replaces issue 33, same interest rate of 5.5% and other details (as you can open one account of each issue for this bond, the new issue means you can open a new account even if you have issue 33 or other previous issues)
- Principality BS 6 Month Regular Saver added to the list paying 7.85% gross p.a. / 8% gross AER fixed on up to £200 per month for 6 months, no withdrawals allowed but early closure is permitted without penalty- Vernon BS Online Regular Saver added to the list paying 6.5% gross p.a. variable on up to £250 per month for 12 months with no withdrawals except for account closure. Every 12 months all but £1 of the money saved in this account is transferred to a linked Vernon Easy Access account in your name. This money can then be accessed as required and you are able to continue making monthly deposits into the Online Regular Saver. This account is only available to UK residents living in the following postcodes: BL, CH, CW, M, OL, SK, WA or WN, unless you were a Society member prior to 1st May 2024.
- Saffron BS Members' Month Loyalty Saver added to the list paying 8% gross p.a. fixed on up to £50 per month for 12 months (maximum £600 so no 13th payment), and you must have been a member with Saffron BS since 1st June 2023 to be eligible for this account. I presume this account will be withdrawn at the end of the month given the name of the account
- AIB (NI) Regular Saver entry updated to show that to open this account you now need to have an AIB (NI) Select Account or Current Account, and I have accordingly moved this account to the section on page 1 for accounts that require another account to be opened
I will do the next update within the next 2 weeks.SS2

@Special_Saver2
Just a minor point but we're now on issue 53 of the Leeds BS regular saver (matures 1/6/26), the list still shows issue 52.
EDIT:
The Progressive BS Online Regular Rainy Day Saver Account at 7% (variable) is also missing. This is available to existing Members and new customers resident in Northern Ireland and allows deposits of up to £300/calendar month.2 -
ircE said:Principality BS 6 Month RS @ 8%Sorry if already discussed but just wanted to check my understanding of the Ts and Cs is correct.My account was opened yesterday, 20th June. I've put in £200 this week. I'll put in 5 x £200 at the start of the month July - November. That's £1200 in total. But then the account will stay open until it matures on 20th December (unless I choose to close it earlier). I.e. The total sum will be in there, earning 8%, for over a calendar month at the end before maturity? I don't think I've had a RS do that before.3

Where a RS doesn't state a maximum balance, it's usually possible to make a 13th payment at the start of the final calendar month, so the total sum only has a few weeks rather than a month.
Of course if someone hadn't been able to pay in the maximum each month, December could be used to pay in the shortfall or £200, whichever is the lower.5 -
