My Nationwide Start To Save 2 has matured. (Not fully yet as it's not showing the Continue To Save name)

They appear to have added £53.11 interest to it today.

They added £15.94 interest last year.

    £53.11 + £15.94 = £15.94 £69.05, not bad.

    £1319.05  total balance on a £1250 deposit.

I'm now on Continue To Save @ 2.50%, out of interest (not meant to be a pun) does the account need a minimum balance to keep open?

Sorry if you are seeing lots of gaps in terms of my last post, think forum or something is playing up, kept wanting me to do italics and stuff, tried editing things had to give up.

Principality RS 33 matured June 15 - received £3093.92 today June 16. Don`t know if £93.92 includes missed day`s interest but life is too short to worry about about 45p lost interest. At least they pay out on a Sunday and money will go to my "EA" account - Zopa ISA today and start earning interest immediately.
You do not have to wait for RS33 to mature before you apply and fund new RS 34 @5.5% fixed - you can have both at the same time.

I can't see anything in the terms suggesting you can't reduce the balance to nil if you wish.

My Principality 33 matured today.  Balance transferred to my linked account even though its a Sunday.  Nationwide Start to Save likewise.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

I just withdrew full balance including interest applied today. Cannot close until a weekday, but seems quite happy with zero balance..

I have an old continue to save account, and a couple of others at NW, with zero balance

    Cambridge BS RS Reward Extra
The entry on the 1st page says that it can be opened in branch, by post, or by phone. My Cambridge RS Reward (4% APR) matures in about a week's time and I was able to give maturity instructions online. One option was to open Reward Extra and to fund it using the funds from the maturing account, saving the hassle of posting the form.
The maturity instruction form is very similar to Saffron's.

It looks like it didn't work - I just logged in to discover all matured funds sitting in an easy access. Will try phoning them tomorrow. *sigh*

The first page says Penrith BS regular saver 300 available to existing members, but at the moment it is for Heartlands residents only.
The current terms and conditions for the Penrith 300 say "This account is available to Heartland residents or existing members of the Society and can be opened in branch or by post." I can confirm I had no trouble opening one as an existing member who lives nowhere near the Heartlands.

  • Can someone provide a link to the list of T's&C's for all the regular savings accounts please.
